From then on, George Jenson's grandson Adolphus ran the company until it merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1929. During World War I (1914-18), Arsenal Arms produced over 1 million rifles and shotguns for military use worldwide. After the war ended, they resumed production of firearms but also developed new products such as ammunition magazines and airguns. In 1957, Arsenal Arms merged with Browning Firearms himself to become Browning/Arsenal Corporation.
Centennial is a city in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 8,362 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Douglas County. Centennial is located on the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains and along Utopia Creek. Centennial first arrived in 1861 when wagon trains led by pioneer George Custer crossed the Wyoming border and established a trading post at what is now Centennial Springs. The town started to grow around this period as businesses set up shop in an open-air market near the springs. By 1872, Centennial had become a small village with a school, hotel, Masonic Lodge No. 1 and two churches: First Presbyterian and Methodist). In 1902, Centennial became part ofDouglas County after it was ceded from Larimer County following its creation from portions of Arapahoe and Weld counties. At that time, Douglas was one of only four counties in Colorado without a incorporated city or town within its borders; other counties were Grand Junction (which had been created byDenver Mayor John Hickenlooper in 1901), Fort Collins (created by Comstock Lumber Company founder James Comstock), and Pueblo (established in 1876). Centennial's growth continued through World War II as residents raised crops or worked outside the city limits for jobs at military bases such as Ohswego Arsenal and Alamosa Army Depot; many also served in the war effort directly or indirectly through their work with local companies such as Ford Motor Company plants or Lockheed Aircraft Corporation plants located just outside town limits on Rifle Hill Road east of Interstate 25 until they closed down during 1945-46 due to wartime production cuts. In 1954, when Douglas County merged with neighboring Boulder County to form Arapahoe–Douglas Counties, Centennial again became part of newly enlarged Aurora Township which included all but southeastern corner of Aurora Range extending into Larimer County including much of downtown Denver itself before eventually becoming its own separate municipality once again during 1986 when Aurora Township merged into Denver City Limits under new municipal government boundaries which remain todayToday centenary has grown rapidly since then with annexations/incorporations from Ouray (2006) . Growth continues today though annexation/incorporation from El Paso (2009) . The community’s growth made it possible for residents to enjoy all types of amenities available in larger towns such as Denver or Aurora at the time. Centennial experienced significant growth until World War II hit hard both economically and militarily. After the war ended, many people left Centennial because they didn’t see any potential for further development within the area during peacetime. Nowadays, Centennial is an active community with a rich history that can be enjoyed by everyone who visits its namesake city!

The celebration began with a public dedication ceremony at Fort Laramie on July 24. On October 16, 1876, the United States Congress ratified the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and Colorado became part of the United States.
