The Centennial Rifle Club was founded in 1896 in Centennial, Colorado. As the first rifle club in the area, it became a leader in responsible gun ownership and instruction. The club helped to create Colorado's Gun Laws of 1912 which limited ammunition sales to carry hunting rifles only. In 1916, Centennial Rifle Club President and CEO Harry Chandler donated $1 million dollars to help fund the construction of the Hoover Dam. This donation helped to promote outdoor recreation and expand access to clean water for locals and tourists alike.
Centennial, Colorado is a small town located in Weld County, Colorado. The population was 1,541 at the 2000 census. Centennial is the county seat of Weld County. centennial has a rich history dating back to 1859 when it became an incorporated village named Centerville. In 1908, the name was changed to Centennial and in 1912 it became a city with a population of 549 people. The civic center which was built in 1916 is one of the few remaining examples of early 20th century architecture in central Colorado. The building functions as both a library and museum for Centerville and also serves as an annual event destination for residents and visitors alike. Additionally, the city hosted two Miss Universe Pageants from 1938-1948 and currently hosts the Miss America pageant each year on November 14th. In recent years, Centennial has become known for its brewing industry which produces several types of beers including wheat beer, pale ale, IPAs,FMIPA’s and stouts. Both microbreweries and larger breweries have been located within walking distance of each other in Centennial since at least 2007 when Stone Brewing opened up shop next door to Keystone Brewing Company. In addition to their production brewery/kitchen complex called Yards Brewery (site of many local events), Stone also operates two restaurants within walking distance: One across from Keystone Brewery on Pecos Street while another just off I-25 near Academy Boulevard; both are open late nightly during peak tourist season with unique menu items that focus on stone brewed beer̨s products only!

Centennial, Colorado was born on July 14th, 1876. The date is significant in that it marks the centennial of the birth of Colorado as a state. Centennial has long been recognized as one of the most important days in Colorado's history. The first people to live in what is now Centennial were Mono Indians. They arrived around AD 600 and built villages near what is today Telluride. In 1824, when Brigham Young discovered gold near Silverton, he dispatched a party led by Captain John Cushing overland to investigate. After finding no gold but plenty of silver ore, Cushing brought his crew back with him to Colorado in 1828. In 1876, following the admission of Colorado as a state by the United States Congress, citizens voted on whether or not to have an annual celebration marking this event. The vote was 3-2 in favor of having such an event every year along with other festivities related to the new statehood process. This decision set off a series of celebrations across Colorado that continues to this day. One significant commemoration during Centennial was the erection of a Monument at Golden Gate Park honoring those who served in America's First World War (1914-18). The monument included bronze tablets bearing quotations from Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson and other notable Americans who had contributed their time or money to makeAmerica great again after WORLD WAR I (1914-18). Other events associated with Centennial include an outdoor music festival held each summer at Mount Evans National Lakeshore; Pageant Parade and Procession which parade down Main Street between Capitol Hill and Pershing Square; numerous art exhibitions throughout the state featuring local artists; electric light displays at several downtown locations; construction of two new universities - University Of Denver and University OfColoradoAt Boulder - both opened for business during Centenary year;and Rocky Mountain Oyster Festivals at many popular oyster bars around town
On July 14, 1876, Centennial was founded as a town in Weld County, Colorado. On November 3 of that year, Centennial became the first city in the state of Colorado. In 1893, Centennial became the capital of Colorado.
