She donated land along North Broadway to build her own home, which became known as "Alice's Park". This gave rise to another nickname for CastleRock: "The Queen City." As growth continued throughout the 20th century and into the 21st century, new subdivisions were developed in downtown and elsewhere around town; however, much of older central business district remains unincorporated due to its historical significance. As economic stability improved throughout recent years and Colorado’s job market grew stronger than ever before – with jobs moving into areas such as Fort Collins – many residents chose not to move away from their homes for fear that those same jobs might leave again once economic conditions changed again or slower job growth occurred within their local borders.

The townsfolk were able to rebuild quickly due to their resilience and good commercial prospects; however, this prosperity didn't last long after goldmining operations stopped in 1875. Many people left CastleRock for new opportunities in California during the 1870s Gold Rush; however, many others decided to stay because of its strategic location on major wagon roads connecting Denver with Albuquerque and Santa Fe. The town continued struggling until it finally achieved national attention when it became one of several communities selected for inclusion in Rocky Mountain National Park in 1940. In recent years, efforts have been made to rehabilitate and revive aspects of CastleRock's history including developing an online museum about its past1

In 1864, Colorado became a part of the United States and Castle Rock soon became one of the most important settlements in what would become Denver County. In 1902, Castle Rock was named one of seven townships included within Denver County. The township's population reached 10,000 by 1910 and it remained an important center for education and commerce until the Great Depression caused its decline. However, since then, there has been renewed interest in the township and its history because of its location among major cities such as Denver and Aurora.
