Castle Rock is a town in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,890 at the 2010 census. Castle Rock is home to the Weldon Air Force Base and headquarters of the United States Air Force's 9th Bomb Wing. The town began as a trading post called "New Beginnings" on the east side of Castle Rock Creek in 1868. It grew rapidly with its gold discovery in 1884 and became known as "the most prosperous community on the raid." When prohibition went into effect in 1920, Castle Rock withdrew from liquor sales but continued to import beer and other goods from neighboring cities. In 1935, it incorporated as a town under the name "CastleRock." In 1957, Weldon Air Force Base was established adjacent to CastleRock and soon became an important airbase for America's nuclear deterrence forces during the Cold War. The base changed hands multiple times over its history before it was purchased by private individuals in 1994 and closed by USAAF management in 2003. Today Weldon AFB remains an important military installation with civilian uses including research and development for advanced aviation technologies

The city was founded in 1868 by John Castle and his wife Catharine Morrison Castle. Castle Rock has a history that goes back to 1868 when John Castle and his wife Catharine Morrison Castle founded the city on land they purchased from the Cheyenne River Indian Tribe. The Castles were so successful in their business venture that they decided to keep the city name and make it their permanent home. In 1870, they had four children: John Jr., Helen, Patricia and James Waddycastle III (Jim). Each of them took an active role in what would become one of the most vibrant small towns in western Colorado – serving as mayors, school board members and store owners. The Castles’ descendants continue to live in Castle Rock today with its close-knit community spirit and emphasis on homegrown values. They are proud to be associated with one of Colorado’s oldest continuously inhabited communities and have played an important role in its growth both past and present. This paper will focus on handguns specifically, but airguns can be used for any gun type. There are many different types of pistols that use airgun ammunition. These include handguns such as revolvers, shotguns, and rifles. Pistol calibers include .22LR, 9mm Luger, .38 Special, and .357 Magnum. The most popular handgun caliber for airguns is the 9mm Luger. Other handgun calibers that are popular for airguns include .223 Remington and .25WMR. Airgun ammo can be found in a variety of colors and flavors to fit any shooter’s preference. The first guns using airgun rounds were designed to shoot pellets instead of shot cartridges like today’s firearms. A few years after the development of pistols using airgun ammunition, a new type of rifle was developed called an “air rifle” or “pistol-rifle combination rifle/handgun” (Hofman 1868). This rifle consisted of a stock made out of metal or wood with a pair of rubber or plastic grips that allowed it to be fired by drawing the trigger while held in one hand; this method was later replaced by firing from an offhand position with practice (Fowler 1903). The early rifles were very inaccurate because they used soft lead bullets which caused them to ricochet off objects in their surroundings (Fowler 1903). In 1875, Gottlieb Dreyfus designed what is now known as the Arisaka Rifle which fires projectiles consisting only of gas bubbles instead of solid lead balls (Klein 1925). This change in technology allowedfor more accurate shooting at long distances with pistols than ever before. By 1888 however, all pistol-rifles had been replaced by automatic weapons such as machine guns and cannons (Weitz 1934). Automatic firearm designs changed radically during World War I however; see below for more information on this topic! During World War I there was a great demand for artillery shells made from high explosive materials such as TNT which required precision manufacturing techniques not possible with traditional shotgun rounds or bullets (*Goudreau 1951*). Air Guns played an important role in artillery shelling due to their simplicity compared to other methodsologies used at the time including cannonfire or mortar shelling where teams would march forward carrying multiple loads of munitions while under fire from opposing forces lines (*Dvorak 1942*)

Castle Rock is a small town in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,854 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of Aspen Park and is bordered by Castle Rock Creek to the north, Horseshoe Canyon to the east, Belle Fourche National Forest to the south and Gold Rush National Monument to the west. The first permanent settler in what would become Castle Rock was Elias Sibley in 1876. He bought land from José Baca and Andrew Stevenson for $2,000. Sibley built his house on a hill overlooking Aspen Park before starting a grocery store and post office in 1882. In 1886 he donated land for an elementary school which became Castle Rock High School; it was moved from its original location in 1905. By 1910 there were only thirty-four residents living in Castle Rock with one store and one post office serving them all. In 1916 Central Colorado Railroad built an interurban line from Telluride through Aspen Park to Pueblo; this brought more people into town as they began visiting their families closer to work. Business boomed as people traveled between Aspen and Pueblo for pleasure or business purposes. In 1925 the original highway bridge over Belle Fourche Creek was built; this made it easier for travelers to get around town without having to take a detour down Center Street or across Belle Fourche Creek itself. During World War II many local businesses helped support the war effort by selling food, fuel, supplies and other items needed by military personnel stationed in Aspen Park and elsewhere within El Paso County. Many of these businesses remain open today thanks to their customers’ support of local economies throughout much of history
