These include oil and gas reserves dating back toot he 19th century and coal deposits that have been mined here since before there were any roads or railroads connecting these parts of Colorado! However, despite these benefits, not everyone has been able to capitalize on this growth – there have been times when jobs haven't materialized or when prices for goods havekept going up while wages haven't kept up. This point wasn’t lost on Mayor Tom Weisner who said during his mayoral campaign: “We need job-creating businesses as well as wealth-generating businesses if we want our community to succeed." Despite these challenges, however, Mayor Weisner believes that although things are changing slowly for Canon City they are still very strong overall – even with some recent setbacks such as decreasing property values and fewer visitors coming through town due to concerns about traffic congestion caused by new development nearby). And he knows that throughout his four terms as mayor he will continue working hard to keep everything moving along smoothly for everyone involved here!
