CVTC is home to several large retailers including Sears Holdings Corporation and JCPenney Canada Limited Empire Furniture & Flooring designs and manufactures flooring products such as furniture and drapes; GSRS provides social services to low income residents; SNH manages a multiple hundred bed nursing home located within walking distance of all businesses included within CVTC Golden State Relief Society helps families affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes or hurricanes through faith-based programs; while Hobby Lobby sells items related to health care including contraception, beauty products and baby clothes Summit Nursing Home Incorporated offers residential care for elderly citizens living alone or with family members throughout Weld County

In 1926, the town built its own electric plant using donated funds from local businesses and citizens. That same year saw the installation of its first telephone line between Broomfield and Lakewood via an aerial cable system that linked downtown with agricultural areas around both towns
