In 2002, Broomfield began to experience significant growth due to construction projects such as Interstate 25 bypassing the town and creation of several new businesses including One Mile atbrockenridge Resort & Spa which draws tourists for its natural attractions such as waterfalls and hikes; also major developments include an arena for the Colorado Rapids soccer team (now called MLSsoccer) and plans are underway to build a new high school which will replace Douglas High School which closed in 2003. Today, Broomfield is home to many active businesses including Walmart Supercenter (opened 2006), Adobe Systems Incorporated (2006), Canon Incorporated (2007), PepsiCo USA Holdings Incorporated (2007), Microsoft Corporation (2010) and Apple Inc.(2011). The city's economy has been buoyed by strong job growth since 2007 due largely to advances made by companies headquartered in other parts of North America such as Googleplex Corporate Park across I-25 from Broomelland; this development has attracted foreign investment for local businesses throughout downtown area with restaurants like Subway sandwich shop opening up inside Googleplex; this type of business activity has led to increased tourism for both locals and out-of-towners alike creating an even more robust economic climate forBroomelland overall

Broomfield is a town in Adams County, Colorado, United States. The population was 3,836 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boulder–Aurora metropolitan area. Broomfield first appeared on maps as "Broomfield" in 1876. It took its name from fellow townsite of that name in Wasatch County, Utah Territory. The first settlers to arrive in what would become Broomfield were two families who journeyed westward from Missouri during the Gold Rush and settled near present-day Telluride on February 22, 1875. The initial grant for the land was 1 mile square and granted to John Wetherbee and his brother Jacob Hirschfeldt. They named their new community after nearby Broomfield, Utah which had just been acquired by Great Britain as part of the Treaty of Paris following World War I. It wasn't until 1898 when brooms became a common tool for farmers that people started referring to the small town as "Broomfield." In 1916 local rancher John Aspinwall donated 10 acres (40 hectares) of his property adjacent to town limits to be used as a public school ground. The idea for an elementary school originated with Mrs. Ackerholm who wanted her girls to have access to an education while they were still young enough not to marry before they reached their late twenties; this idea was finally carried out by district Superintendent Aiken in 1923 after years of effort by parents and students alike. Today, many aspects associated with early American life are still seen here such as broom cleaning supplies or baking powder because those things were very important then too! One example is that one house in town has even been preserved from back when it was actually used as a post office! How cool is that? Broomfield was founded in 1875 by John Broom and his family. The town was named for the broom that John Broom used to clear land. The first post office was established in 1876, and the first store opened in 1880. In 1912, the name of the town was changed to Broomfield-Natrona County. In 1990, the county name was changed to Boulder County.
