As time went on though, things calmed down a bit and people got along great together before starting their own businesses again once they realized how beneficial it was to have an open-ended trading agreement with other communities in Western Colorado! During World War II, Brighton quickly became known as one of America’s favorite tourist destinations due to its picturesque scenery and natural resources! During this time period too, energy production became an important part of the local economy as hotels needed power generators so guests could stay entertained while staying hereabouts! Over time though, technology has become more important than ever in our society so businesses have turned towards using technology instead of relying on generators which can often lead to CO2 emissions! Brightons newest industry is now focused largely around solar energy but there are still plenty of opportunities for other businesses too To thrive here!

Brighton is a small town in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Greeley–Asheville metropolitan area. Brighton started as an agricultural community in 1865 when Elijah A. Browne and his family settled on a ranch near what is now Brighton Boulevard. A post office was established in 1875, and the community name was changed to Brighton in 1895 due to pressure from other ranchers who called their community "Lakewood". In 1915, railroad developer George Hutton assigned land for a station at Brighton Boulevard and Signal Road because he saw potential oil production there. Rail traffic reached its peak in 1928 with the arrival of the Southern Pacific Railroad's first engine, but by then oil production had declined and the station closed down in 1939. In 1951, some residents of Brighton petitioned city officials to change their name to Ashtown because they felt that Ashtown would be more fitting given their location within Greeley's limits. The city council voted 5-0 to accept the petition and changed its name to Ashtown on November 12 of that year. The town has seen many changes over time - it was once a small farming community with only one store; now it boasts numerous businesses including several banks and two high schools; as well as six churches (four Baptist and two Methodist). One of Ashtown's most famous landmarks is its namesake library which opened in 1923 after years of planning by Mayor Wills Lytle and City Councilmember Floyd Goode Jr.. In addition to serving as home for local government meetings until 1971 when downtown Greeley took over this function, Ashtown also served as headquarters for both Douglas County Sheriff’s Department during peacetime (1921-2003) while deputies were stationed elsewhere throughout Greeley; however, since 2003 Deputy Chief Dave Pollack has been responsible for this departmental office located inside City Hall since 2007 On July 2nd, 2018 Donald Trump visited AshtOWN during his campaign visit
