Brighton, Colorado is home to a rich firearms history. The town was founded in 1876 as the site of a depot for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Company, an armory that manufactured guns and ammunition for the US military. In 1933, Brighton became one of fourteen towns in the state of Colorado to become part of the new Denver-Aurora metropolitan area. For example, pistol permits were only granted to citizens who could demonstrate proficiency with a firearm. Nevertheless, over time, many gunsmiths and dealers arrived in Brighton from surrounding counties to help support the growing population and industry within the town. As word spread about how easy it was to get licensed and buy pistols here, demand grew even faster than available supply could handle! In fact, between 1886 and 1907 there were so many purchases made at local stores that Gun Control Commission officials had difficulty keeping up! As street gangs started raiding arsenals across America during this time period (specifically during prohibition), residents decided that storage lockers would be their best option for preserving their weapons while out of town on business or pleasure - something that still happens today! With such an active firearms culture happening right next door – you can imagine how important it was for businesses like these to stay afloat during tough times! In 1916, when Colorado transitioned from Republican into Democratic control under Franklin D Roosevelt’s presidency (in response to World War I), gun control laws changed dramatically due to advances in technology that had just emerged at this point! Nevertheless, over time some manufacturer logos began appearing on specific firearm t-shirts; often featuring iconic characters from various movie series or video games who would then appear in action scenes wearing those particular garments (as pictured below). However, this effort met with opposition from residents in neighboring towns who felt that Brighton should remain within the boundaries of their respective communities. By 1953, however, due to growth in downtown and other areas around town, Brighton had reached its present size and became an independent city under its own government. Throughout its history as an independent city, Brighton has made efforts to promote itself as a cultural center within the surrounding community. This has included hosting numerous events such as music festivals and art shows which have brought artists and tourists alike to town. Additionally, during recent years there have been calls for Blairmore Elementary School in nearby Westminster to be closed because of increased student demand for space within the community. Despite these challenges faced by Bentley High School across town (which also serve students from adjoining counties), overall things seem stable for Blackburnburg – home to both cities – despite occasional changes on the horizon.
Brighton, Colorado was the first county in Colorado to be created. The area that is now Brighton was part of Pueblo County when it was organized on April 14, 1876. It became a part of Montrose County on November 1, 1907. On January 1, 1912, Brighton became a city and was renamed as Denver
