The growth has been largely due to waves of immigrants – Italians and Poles arriving during World War I brought new life and businesses into town; then came Mexicans coming after 1965 as part of America’s post-war induced migration surge; finally Asians arrived following an economic boom in late 1990s – giving Aurora one of the highest proportions of any U.S.–based metropolis outside Los Angeles or New York City

Aurora also has a highly complementary mix of retail spaces for both individual consumers shopping mall-style markets or larger chains like Walmart Supercenter or Home Depot while also having significant amount of loft space for creative entrepreneurs who can call Aurora home regardless of store size or location
Aurora was founded in 1871 by John A. Sloat and James H. White as a small mining town on the banks of the Arkansas River. The town grew rapidly due to its location, and by 1881 it had become an important stop on the Underground Railroad. Aurora was also home to the first oil well in Colorado, and in 1896 it became the first city in Colorado to ELECTRICITY! In 1912, Aurora became the capital of Colorado after being chosen from a statewide competition.
