Eventually, on November 8th 1907, by a margin of 5to1, voters approved annexation into Denver proper so that Auraria Township would have representation on City Council but no say in policymaking nor taxation decisions. The first fatal traffic accident occurred in Arvada on July 12th of that year when Edwin Hinton's horse overturned on Uinta Road.
