This streetcar system remains one of Denver's most popular tourist attractions today. Aurora also offered rides for free to all school children up to age 16 who could prove they had parents or guardians who could provide them transportation home during their lunch break or after school activities; this program ended in 1955 due to budget cuts by then Mayor Fred Dyckman Sr.).
