There have been various types and designs of shooting target holders over the years. Some were simple, such as a clamp that held a round in place, while others were more complex, such as those with four arms that could be rotated to position the rounds perfectly within the holder. The first type of shooting target holder was designed by Lieutenant John J. Higgins of the United States Marines in 1916. The Marine Target Holder was a simple clamp-style device that allowed shooters to hold targets in place using only their hands and feet. Higgins’ design was quickly adopted by other military forces, and became known as the "Higgins clamp". In 1937, an American designer named Harry Webley patented his own version of the shooter'sTarget Holder. The Webley Target Holder featured two clamps that could be rotated to regulary position the rounds within its confines. This design became popular among professional shooters, and it remains one of the most commonly used hunting or target holding devices today. Over time, different designers created variations on the basic Higgins Target Holder design. Some versions featured adjustable clamps for better positioning of targets; others had multiple arms which could be rotated to provide perfect firing positions for every shot. still others featured unique shapes or designs which made them more difficult or impossible to remove from their locations once they had been set up.

In 1885, John Brown's shooting Target Holder was invented.

In 1887, Spanish explorers discovered the valley and named it Yucca Valley after a small mountain in that area. The first mention of yucca was from Rancho Santa Anita in 1849. In 1860, four men from Los Angeles named John Sutter led an exploration of the San Joaquin Valley and found some large plants which they called "Yucca," but didn't believe they were yucca because there was no such thing as a yucca tree. The first time someone refers to the valley specifically as Yucca Valley is in 1892 when Héctor Yount photographically captured the view looking east towards Yosemite National Park. The first people living in Yucca Valley were prospectors who traveled through the area searching for gold and other minerals. By 1870, many people had established farms here, including James Waddell who built Waddell's Store oncethey opened up the country to farming. In 1875, another man by the name of Cline located a well near present-day town of Plitvice Lakes and started selling water to farmers in what is now known as Yucca Valley proper. This well became famous due to its discovery by Humboldt Bay Instruments during their surveys for Telegraph Company line #2 (now part of Southern California Telco). Heavy mining operations began taking place in Yucca Valley beginning with silver production at Comstock Peak in 1879 followed by lead mining at Bechtel's North San Gabriel Mine from 1888-1889. Yucca Valley is located in the Inland Empire of California and is a small agricultural region that sits on the eastern slopes of the San Joaquin Hills. The valley was named for Yucca, a cactus found in nearby hills. The first humans to live in Yucca Valley were Native American natives who hunted and gathered game in the area. By 1849, Englishman John Cabe had discovered gold near the valley and began to prospect for it. In 1854, Mexican President Antonio López de Santa Anna ordered his forces to attack California from within, driving out many of the British settlers. As a result, most of what is now Yucca Valley was acquired by Mexico as part of Texas during this time. To finance this purchase, Mexico forced its citizens to sell their homes and land throughout America. Many of these people moved into Yucca Valley because there was no other place where they could find asylum. After Mexican independence was achieved in 1848, American traders began arriving in search of gold again and started settlement here as well. By 1862, over fifty thousand Americans had arrived here, making it one of the largest gold rushes in American history. This period also saw some major changes within Yucca Valley due to these advances: until then, everyone living here had been farmers or herders who used natural resources such as wood or water to survive; but with systematic exploration and mining starting soon after Gold Rush days came new entrepreneurs who wanted more than just occasional profits from mining ventures; they wanted to control large areas for themselves so that they could increase their production levels at will without competition from others In 1874-1875 another huge rush happened when a new vein was discovered at Silliman Creek which yielded an estimated 2 million ounces (100 tonnes) of gold! With this discovery came increased social tensions between menial miners working under difficult conditions while those involved with mines enjoyed luxurious lifestyles; however these tensions slowly dissipated over time as more people got involved with mining operations In 1912 flash flooding destroyed much of central town including businesses dating back centuries; however despite this setback efforts continuedkesome progress forward towards rebuilding thanks largelyto donations received from local families’ estates whose properties lay around Central City proper The post-World War II years saw dramatic growth yet again due largely to immigration – both legal and illegal – which has helped fuel job creation across many industries while bolstering Social Security coffers
