Yucca Valley is a small town in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 1,902 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno– Chico– Yosemite National Park. The valley was named for the Yucca tree, which grows there and produces fruit that can be eaten fresh or used to make Revival Ale. The first settlement in Yucca Valley was made by prospectors in 1864. By 1870, there were over 200 residents in Yucca Valley and it had a post office and school. In 1875, the Kootenai Railway built a line from Yreka toYucca Valley and began serving the community. The railway continued to serve Yucca Valley until it was dismantled in 1960. In 1915, when American troops arrived at Yreka during World War I, they discovered an underground water supply within easy reach of Yreka and set up camp here before proceeding further downriver to Malvern Hill where they established their new military base dubbed Camp Bulldog which remains today one of America's most historically important wartime sites ever visited by Americans military personnel

The rifle has become one of the most popular firearms in the world, and it is used by many different armies around the world. The original AR-15 design was based on the M1 Garand rifle. It differed from this weapon in that it had a bolt action design, rather than a gas operated system. This gave it some advantages when it came to firepower and range. Additionally, its barrel could be shortened to make it more lightweight for easier transport. In 1966, Colt introduced an improved version of the AR-15 called the Colt Commander. This model featured an extra magazine capacity, as well as new features such as a green gas block and recoil pad. This model also received modifications such as a slanted front sight post and 0-degree Aimpoint Elevation adjustments. In 1974, Colt reintroduced their AR-15 into production format with the Model 2A1 Rifle. This model featured a new receiver architecture which allowed for greater accuracy and range than previous models. Additionally, this model received new upgrades such as longer barrels and Heckler & Koch forends made from aluminum alloy instead of steel. In 1987, Colt introduced their own variant of the AR-15 called the M4 Carbine. This model featured increased firepower and Accuracy thanks to its rifled barrel style. The popularity of these rifles led to them being redesigned in 1992 into the current version known as the AR-10.

Yucca Valley is a small, rural town in Kern County, California. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is located about 15 miles (24 km) east of Bakersfield and about 25 miles (40 km) south of Salinas. The valley was named for Yucca Mountain, which is located in central Arizona and forms the eastern boundary of Kern County. The mountain's peak reaches 9,163 feet (2,719 m). In 1864 John Wesley Powell discovered gold on the summit of Yucca Mountain; he reported finding $1,500 worth of it. The first human beings to live in Yucca Valley were Nomadic Puebloan people who followed herds of pronghorn across the valley in search of food. A Rancho Las Animas ranchery was founded by Josephine Cochrane in 1869; she married George Wetherbee. The Cochrane family held title to most of what is now Yucca Valley until it was acquired by the United States government as part of the Nevada Test Ban Treaty settlement in 1912. In 1931 Harry Emerson Fosdick organized a group called "The American Indian Movement" to raise awareness about Native Americans' rights and offer education and support to them living among white people. In 1933–34 Fosdick established a reservation for Native Americans at present-day Joshua Tree National Park north of Yucca Valley. When World War II began, many young men fromYucca Valley joined military service; some became very successful officers but many more served their country with distinction but returned home after hostilities ended without any wealth or benefits received from the war effort aside from their unit's decorations and other awards
Yucca Valley was a mining area in southern California. The valley, which is now part of the city of Yucca Valley, was first mined for silver and other minerals in 1849. In 1860, gold was discovered in the area, and mining continued until 1906.
