The DRS allowed users to target individual projectiles with pinpoint accuracy using its crosshair markings on its frame rather than having to track numerous projectiles across space at once like earlier red dot scopes did. This innovative technology soon spread throughout Europe and North America as manufacturers began development of their own versions of this type of sight system; these systems were generally known as "red dots." In 1958, American inventor John Browning created what is now widely considered to be the most advanced version of a reddot sighting device ever conceived--the Browning Hi-Power Rifle Scope/Sight (HPS). The town was founded by Captain John Graves on October 24, 1853 as an isolated settlement on the banks ofthe Sacramento River about 12 miles (19 km) north of downtown San Bernardino. The first post office in Yorba Linda opened in 1854 and became known as "Gravesville". In 1870, Captain Graves donated land to build a public school which became the first high school in Orange County. In 1912, captain John Graves donated another piece of land to establish a park that would become Yorba Linda High School. By 1914, there were over 20 businesses and 100 residents living in what is now Yorba Linda. In 1933, Mayor Von Neuman organized what is today known as the " Citizen's Advisory Committee" which recommended that Yorba Lake be developed into an area consisting primarily of housing developments with recreational uses being allowed only if they complied with certain rules and regulations set forth by City Manager Harry Parkinson aka "Mr. Parks". The resulting regulation ordinance created one of Northern California's earliest comprehensive planning laws and has been followed ever since by developers seeking to develop their properties within city limits without government approval or review."

It became an important center for the agricultural industry during its early years, and became a major player in the citrus fruit trade. After World War II, though, it began to experience rapid growth as a result of its many new businesses and communities. Today, Yorba Linda is a thriving community with a growing population and expanding economy. The city was made up of several villages until it consolidated into one municipality in 1907. The current name comes from two Spanish words: yorba (a type of sweet grape) and Linda (a small stream). The original town site was located on what is now Yorba Linda Boulevard between First Street and Second Street. It included only about 150 homes, but it quickly grew into a sizable community with over 1,000 residents by 1915 when it joined forces with nearby La Jolla to form the City of La Jolla. The first people to live in Yorba Linda were American missionaries who arrived in 1887. They set up permanent homes along Loma Prieta Creek which flows through the present-day city limits. The missionaries started out planting Missionary Ridge oranges near what is now North Park Road, but soon realized that they needed more land so they bought some from local Indians and organized themselves into groups called " Companies." In 1895 they built their first school building which still stands today on what is now First Street. They also authorized construction of roads and bridges which later served as vital transportation links between these villages and downtown La Jolla. The citrus industry played an important role in fueling Yorba Linda's growth throughout its early years. For many years there was only one or two types of oranges grown here – Missionary Ridge/Paringo oranges were dominant – but after World War II production shifted towards other crops such as grapes and apples because of increased competition from elsewhere in America. However, the orange industry did not go away completely; within decades there were dozens of small companies harvesting oranges all over Northern California! Today Orange County has perhaps THE highest concentration rate of any county in America for orange trees! As an aside, this high concentration rate may be partially due to climate change – although no studies have yet been conducted on this topic definitely impactful at this point!) In recent years however much attention has been paid to what lies south OF Los Angeles proper: inland Orange County – especially around Newport Beach! This area has seen explosive growth since 1990smarking both huge subdivisions developments including Ocean View Estates (one of LA’s top five ZIP codes), Irvine Ranch / Dana Point beachfront development next door), Seal Beach / Laguna Niguel developments (#1 vs #5 real estate rankings among Bay Area suburbs), monsoon funded housing projects like East Village / West Village off Laguna Niguel Highway (best known for being home to Supervisor Don Panetti’s daughter Carmela Panetti’s childhood home) etcetera etcetera etcetera… You get my point 🙂 So if you want your vacation spot peppered with OC natives living close by full time then visitors are best advised head east rather than west just like everyone else 🙂
