In 1933, another act was passed by the California State legislature which created a new licensing board for gun dealers and manufacturers in California once again but this time with more power to regulate firearm sales and use within the state as well as conducting inspections on behalf of the Board. This law also never took effect because it faced resistance from rifle clubs and other sporting organizations who wanted their members to be able to buy rifles without being licensed. In 1934, yet another act was passed by the California State legislator which allowed residents of certain cities (Rancho Cordova included) to purchase pistols without having to go through a dealer or get a license from the governor or local city councilor. These pistol purchases were limited however and only went into effect if someone had been convicted of an felony involving firearm possession or misuse within five years prior to purchasing such weapons(which at that time required either 3 years probation or 8 year imprisonment). Pistol purchases were also subject to inspection by local police officers on an regular basis during times when they felt necessary pursuant to Penal Code § 1222(g). An attempt was made later in 1939 but failed due largely because Mayor William Haines refused consent from both City Councilors and Governor George Condon citing fears that such an attempt would lead too hand-in-hand with organized crime activities within Rancho Cordova specifically against law-abiding citizens striving for responsible recreation opportunities outside of criminal underworld activities
Woodland, California is a small town located in the San Joaquin Valley of California. The population was 5,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of Fresno County. The history of Woodland can be traced back to 1839 when General Doniphan gave land for the town in what is now Fresno County. The name "Woodland" was given because of the wooded areas near the original settlement site. The first post office was established in 1846 and was called New Albion. In 1853, a road connecting Woodland with other settlements in central and southern California were built by wagon road builders under contract from Doniphan and others. In 1868, John Wesley Powell discovered gold in nearby Tulare County and decided to establish an expedition to prospect for gold there instead of returning home to San Francisco as had been planned. He named his new discovery "Gonzalez Peak" after José González de la Torre who had concessioned land for agricultural purposes in that area near modern-day Fresno City. In 1870, two years after Purchased Gold Mines claims were filed on both sides of present day Woodward Road north of present day Woodland, three men - Samuel Morse, Myron Cushing and Elisha Gray - prospected for gold along that road during winter months while cattle were penned up inside buildings at drill sites northeast and east of where Woodward Road crossed Calaveras River about mile south of current day Yelverton Avenue east off U Street (now Market Street). A claim onproperty northwest corner Old Hwy 99W & Woodward Rd., just west side Kern River valley floor intersecting U Street & Kern River within 10 rods above water’s surface resulting from December 12th assay yielded $1 per tonne over said weight limit; this property has since been developed into Chevron Sidetrack oil well fields providing much needed employment & tax revenue to community over more than 50 years! Stating that he only plucked up some worthless nuggets while prospecting on section 8160 acres grant (northwest corner I-5 exit) southeast california october 25th 1865 he went ahead without me reporting back as per terms agreed upon we paid $2 per acre plus interest on money borrowed incurredplus $3 costs associated with shipping equipment out here including outfitters necessary to get rich quick ie: Josiah Beale myself James Wickersham

Polk granted a commission to three men- George Fenton, John Bidwell, and Augustus Woodward- to explore and map the country between Sacramento and San Francisco Bay. On July 24th of that year they discovered Mount Diablo while mapping the course of the Sacramento River. The naming of Mount Diablo for General David Hunter became one of Woodland's most famous moments. In 1850, General Juan Bautista Alvarado started building a toll road from Yolo County south to Stockton and north to Placerville. The road was called El Camino Real de la Californias (The Road to California). By 1853, the toll road had reached Santa Clara County and it was renamed State Road 2A. In 1857, Governor Manuel Micheltorena issued an executive order establishing select townships in Contra Costa County as part of a campaign against rowdy behavior by Native Americans living on reservations in northern California. To prevent this type of violence and disruption within Indian Territory, he ordered that all Indian roads be built parallel with state highways so Indians could only travel at night or when traveling through remote areas without contact with human beings

The region was originally called the Kern County, but was renamed to the Placer County in 1851 after gold was discovered there. The Placer Gold Rush began in 1848 and quickly produced a wealth of riches, which attracted settlers. By 1850, the population of the county had swollen to over 100,000 people. The region became known for its agricultural production and woodlands were extensively logged during this time. During World War II, many Californians served inthe military or worked on war-related projects. Some of these citizens built homes in what is now the Woodland area and continue to live there today.
