Throughout most of the Paleolithic era, humans were highly mobile and used two-legged walking as their primary mode of locomotion. However, during the late Paleolithic period, bipedalism began to decline as humans began to develop more advanced technology and moved away from a mainly two-legged lifestyle. These bones show that a human being had already begun to develop a degree of bipedality when they lived in this area. One of the best examples of this is the creature called Orroron lizards. This lizard was able to walk on all fours like us but its feet were webbed together so it could cling onto branches and roots while moving around). On March 3rd 1889, Edwin Mowat set up shop at 4200 feet (1 kilometer) east of town on what is now known as State Route 82 between Sutter Road and Old State Highway 840 (now SR 826). Mowat’s store opened soon after to become one of the longest-running businesses in town with more than 150 customers per day during its early days! Mowat continued to operate his business until his death on October 29th 1928 at age 83 years old! In 1933-1934 local resident Leland Beattie started building an airfield next to his house which would eventually become known as Beattie Air Force Base today!

Today, Windsor is home to several museums including the Nevada Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography which has been housing artifacts from around Nevada since 1959 and the Arnold Arboretum which contains over 400 plants specimens from around North America.
Windsor was first settled in 1847 by gold miners from California. The town became a post office in 1849 and a railroad station in 1853. In 1860, Windsor developed as a cotton mill town with mills on the River Serene. The town was renamed Windsor after Queen Victoria's new colony of Canada in 1867.
