At that time, there were few indoor shooting ranges in the area, so gunfire was often along the banks of rivers or lakes. So it was natural for people to use targets as their main form of entertainment and shooter competition. One such early target holder was S Roddick's Rifle Range on Railroad Avenue. In 1906, a group of men from Sacramento purchased a piece of land at 6000 feet elevation called Rancho Seco east of I-5. This location became home to the firstTarget Holder Club which met monthly to shoot at various targets around ranch property. In 1912, a new Target Holder Club building was erected on College Drive in West Sacramento and served as their headquarters until 1978 when it burned down. In 1951, Wm Matson opened his Gun Shop on Main Street in West Sacramento and began selling target holders direct to the public. Over time, other dealers followed suit and by 1975 there were over 100 Target Holder Clubs throughout California! As shooters came into greater contact with one another online through message boards and social media websites, forums and meetups, continued focus ontarget holders development occurred online through many different means including photography (e-photo), video (YouTube) and even traditional print media articles! West Sacramento, California is a city located in Sacramento County, California. The population was 381 at the 2010 census. In 1851, Sutter built the first store in what is now West Sacramento and began to develop it into a town. The name "Sacramento" originated with General George Armstrong Custer when he used it as his headquarters while invading Russian territory along the American River in 1874. In 1923, West Sacramento became an incorporated city under state law; it had been unincorporated since 1912. The growth of nearby Modesto and Turlock led to westward annexation by those cities in various years from 1960 to 2000; however, westward annexation has not occurred continuously throughout that time period due to local opposition from residents over land use decisions by those cities. According to 2010 census figures, racial makeup of West Sacramento was 83 percent White and 15 percent African American (of any race). Hispanic or Latino residents make up 1 percent of the population.

It was here that Governor John Goodwin passed the first statewide bill regulating gambling in California in 1887. This act helped change how Californians viewed gambling as a source of revenue which would eventually lead to Proposition 8 being passed legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide! Today, West Sacramento is still an important part of its local community and has played an essential role throughout its history. It is home to several popular tourist destinations including Capitoline Hill Park which features beautiful views of downtownSacramentoand Mount Shasta National Recreation Area which offers stunning landscapes and hiking trails
The town of West Sacramento was founded in 1868 by the brothers Brigham and David Wells. The first post office was established in 1870, and the town became a city in 1902. The population of West Sacramento grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s, reaching over 100,000 by 1910. However, World War I and the Great Depression led to a significant drop in population growth throughout West Sacramento’s history. In 1965, the city merged with neighboring East Sacramento to form a new metropolitan area known as East Sacramento-West Sacramento. Today, West Sacramento is one of California’s most populous cities, with over 200,000 residents.
