In 1940, Nazi Germany invaded Europe through World War II while America remained neutrality; this led to significant changes within our country with regards to immigration laws which had been changing for years since President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 which banned all citizens from any European countries who were living or had resided there for more than ninety days without specific documentation proving their eligibility for entry into the United States; these people were immediately rounded up and deported across state lines without process or due legal hearing or representation! For those individuals caught up in this discriminatory act against us as well as many others throughout Europe during that time period - you are not alone! The city ofWest Covina was founded in 1853 by James and Elizabeth Hahn, who named it for their home town of West Covina, California. The first settler in West Covina was John Hahn, who arrived in 1847. In 1860, the City Council passed an ordinance that established a system of water supply and sanitation. In 1865, the city became part of Los Angeles County. In 1910, the city annexed the adjacent towns of Montebello and Hawthorne. The annexation resulted in a doubling of the population to over 100 residents. In 1924, West Covina re-incorporated as a city with its own mayor and council members. By 1930, the population had grown to over 200 people. On November 5th, 1940 Mayor Harry Sink signed legislation creating Parkland Colony which would later become Orange County
