Polk, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Harry S Truman - making Wasco one of only two American towns to be so honored (the other being Pasadena). The town's namesake also received some distinction when an early railroad company built a depot here which still stands today; it served as headquarters for several years for Southern Pacific Railroad before becoming a station on later Caltrans lines mainline between Sacramento and Emeryville
