In 1865, when the American Civil War began, there were few holster makers in Wasco. A company was started by two men named Holster and Folsom. The first holsters made were simple leather loops that could be fastened around the waistband of pants to hold a gun. At first, these holsters were used by farmers and gunmen who needed to carry their guns on their person at all times. Over time, more and more people started using holsters for self-defense. In 1892, a company called Brownell & Baker became the first holster maker in California to create full-length leather holsters with straps that could be fastened around the waistband of pants. These days, most holster companies produce holsters for both personal defense and law enforcement use. One of the most famous holster designers in history is Eddy Arnold. Arnold was known for his innovative designs which helped make handguns available to a wider audience than ever before. His products include pistols such as the Colt Python and Ruger SR9C 357 MagnumHolster.

Wasco, California is a small town in the Central Valley of California. The population was 1,083 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Wasco River, about 20 miles (32 km) southeast of Fresno and 60 miles (100 km) northeast of Stockton. The incorporated town was founded in 1884 by John Waddell and his wife, Emma. The Wasco name comes from an earlier Spanish settlement called Santiago de la Vega. During the Gold Rush of 1849, prospectors discovered rich gold veins near Santiago de la Vega and began building mining camps there. In 1884, John Waddell established Wasco as a post office under the name Santiago del Valle to serve these prospectors. The railroad arrived in 1886 and helped to spur demand for goods in Wasco; by 1888, it had become one of the largest towns in central California with a population over 1,000 people. After suppression of gambling dens by local authorities in 1895-96 led to rapid social disorder and economic decline for Wasco, Waddell reorganized the town into an unincorporated community on February 17, 1903. Although its fortunes declined during World War II due to lack of military production nearby or because American industry shifted more production eastward after Pearl Harbor, Isleta County voted decisively against Proposition 10—the referendum measure that would have taxed landowning farmers to help fund veterans' benefits—in November 1942. This vote demonstrated popular opposition to pro-war sentiment throughout much of southern California during World War II
There is a long and varied history of holsters in the United States. Holsters were originally designed to protect gun owners' firearms from theft or harm. holster companies began marketing holsters in the early 1800s, and by 1910 there were more than 1,000 holster companies in America. One of the earliest holster designs was the "boot knife" holster, which consisted of a single piece of leather that was connected at one end to an ankle strap and at another end to a belt loop. The boot knife holster allowed for easy access to a firearm when it was needed, but it also presented challenges such as being able to accurately position the weapon on the person's hip while maintaining situational awareness. In response to this problem, manufacturers began creating holsters with multiple pieces of leather that could be positioned on different body parts depending on how they were used - for example, a shoulder holster might include two straps that would be adjustable so that it could be placed around either side of the shoulder blade. This gave shooters greater control over where they placement their firearm when using a handgun, making it easier for them to maintain situational awareness while not having to worry about losing their weapon. By 1920 there were more than 2,000 pistol-specific holsters available on the market. This period saw significant advancements in both technology and design; for example, handguns began featuring Picatinny rails (a type of rail located on top of rifle barrels that allows mounting accessories like lasers and optics) which made them easier to mounted onto rifles and made it possible for shooters to attach additional devices such as lights or lasers directly onto their handguns without having to rely on traditional attachment points like screws or anchors. Additionally, designers started incorporating stainless steel intoholster components so that they would remain durable even under high-stress conditions. This increased popularity of pistols led leather holster companies such as Browning & Wesson and Colt Firearms Corporationto begin producing versions specifically designed for handguns - these holsters are often referred to as "pistol belts." These types of pistol belts became popular because they offered reliable grip security when carrying handguns around town or during outdoor activities; additionally, they allowed shooters greater flexibility when adjusting their firearms depending upon their preferred shooting position(s). Wasco, California is located in the southern wine country of California. The town was founded in 1859 by John A. Wasco and his wife Nancy. The name Ishmael is derived from an Apache word meaning "place where someone can get water." The town was first called Spanish Hercules because it had a large water well. It was renamed Wasco after General John J. Pershing, who fought in the Mexican-American War and became a hero to American soldiers. In 1907, the railroad arrived and the town started to grow rapidly with people coming to work on the railway. By 1915, there were over 1,000 residents in Wasco. In 1925, Wasco became an incorporated city with a population of about 200 people. From then until its closure in 1978, Wasco experienced rapid growth with much development taking place within its boundaries including establishment of schools, churches, businesses and other institutions which continue to this day. One of the most significant events that took place during this time was when World War II began and many residents left for military service. Many young men from Wasco served in both World Wars including Harry Fenton who received the Medal of Honor for his bravery in battle during WWII as part of Company H (5th Battalion) 57th Infantry Regiment which fought at Ypres Heights outside Belgium
