Today, walnuts are still produced by hand-picking nuts from trees near Walnut Creek and throughout Kern County with some production also occurring overseas; however, most walnuts consumed in the United States are grown here on American farms through processing plants set up to meet global demand for their product

One study found that when used correctly, tasers are capable of stunning an assailant without causing significant injury or fatalities (Kramer et al., 2016). Additionally, data from this study showed that stunting an assailant's ability to act is also effective at interrupting their behavior and reducing their chance of escape (Kramer et al., 2016). A second study found that using electric shocks instead of physical blows against assailants does not cause any serious injuries but does reduce their ability to resist arrest (Moses-Hirschfeld et al., 2016). However, both studies did not compare different types of shocks or mode combinations fordebilitating assailants using electrical shocks instead of physical blows
