The discovery of oil reserves at Santa Clara Riverbed led to an influx of oil workers beginning around 1911; this led to Walnut Creek becoming one of California’s leading oil towns. By 1939, gas production had reached 1 million barrels per day with plans for even larger output over time; however, World War II intervened and halted these plans due to wartime rationing. walnuts were also used extensively as fuel for war planes flying over Nazi-occupied Europe because they could provide good aviation gasoline without Commitment by Governments which would have banned such exports had they known about their supply shortages). These shirts were made to look like authentic firearms garments and were often worn while shooting target practice or while hunting game outdoors. Another early reference to firearm t-shirts can be found in American Rifleman magazine in 1923 , where an article titled "Shooting T-Shirts" features two photos (one featuring a shotgun) that illustrate how easy it was for shooters to coordinate their attire with their weaponry. This also marked the first time that NRA badges appeared on clothing - at that time they only depicted members' political beliefs. In 1935, SHOTGUN FESTIVAL issued its own anniversary issue called YEARBOOK OF THE SHOTGUN FESTIVAL . Included among the contributors were industry veterans such as Joe Rosenthal and Ed Bronson who had taken part in previous editions of the event . Amongst these individuals was artist Harry Seibert who created illustrations for several issues of AMERICAN RIFLEMAN between 1935 and 1938 . During this time period too many people wereroducing art related publications soSeibert collected all his materials together and donated them to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City later known as The Seibert Collection
