On April 14, 1892, the first firearm manufacturer in Victorville was founded. The company made and sold pistols and rifles. In 1916, the company became a part of Arms & Ammunition Corporation. In 1951, the company changed its name to Victorville Machine Guns Company. In 1957, the company merged with Browning-Marlin Firearms Company to form Browning-Marlin firearms Corporation. The corporation became a subsidiary of Remington Arms Company in 1978. The corporation was renamed again to Browning-Overton Firearms Corporation in 1984. The subsidiary became part of ATK Incorporated in 1996 and is today known as ATK Incorporated USA LLC.
Victorville is a small city in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. Victorville is bordered by Mono Lake to the north, Yucca Valley to the east and west, and Redding to the south. Victorville was founded in 1887 by Rancho Cañon del Norte investors as a summer home for their horses and people. The town name comes from Spanish "víctor" meaning "victory." By 1925, Victorville had an agricultural center with more than 100 businesses processing crops such as grapes, strawberries, almonds and cotton. In 1951, Victorville became one of eighteen towns incorporated within Inyo County when it was enlarged from sixteen to thirty-six square miles. The first post office in Victorville opened on July 3 of that year. The economy of Victorville has changed greatly since its incorporation into county government; however most of the town's residents still identify with agriculture or ranching as their primary Economic Fields of Commerce. Many small businesses remain in operation throughout the community including two banks (One Wells Fargo Bank & Trust Company and First National Bank) three health clinics ( Kaiser Permanente Medical Center - North Valley Regional Hospital), four stores (Granite Hardware Store Inc., Jiffy Lube Oil Change & Glasses store #1 & 2 Super Stop - also operated by Ggranite Hardware Store Inc.), two schools (VictorVILLE Middle School and San Bernardino Elementary School), two churches (First Baptist Church South Missionary Baptist Church and Second Presbyterian Church) six restaurants/cafés (), five bars/pubs (), three golf courses (), one water park (), one theme park ().

Victorville is a small town in Riverside County, California, located about 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. It was founded in 1887 by brothers George and William Victor. The Victorville post office was established in 1888. In 1916 the town had a population of 350. It has since shrunk to its current size, with only 100 residents as of 2010. The towns namesake, Victor Hugo (1821-93), was born in nearby Huntington Beach and spent his childhood there before moving to what is now Victorville when he was six years old. He attended college at Claremont McKenna College and then worked as an editor for "The Saturday Evening Post" before starting his own magazine company in 1892. After Hugo's death, his son Eduardo took over the magazine company and it continued publishing until 1957. One of the earliest businesses within the current boundaries of Victorville was a grocery store operated by J.C.'s Produce from 1896 to 1901; that business became known as the JV Grocery Store after Jesse Ventura foundedJV Enterprises Inc., which later became part of Safeway Companies plc., one of the largest grocery retailers in North America In 1922, John Fritch opened up his first convenience store on Main Street which remains open today as Fritch's Convenience Store & Pizza Place . The store grew rapidly throughout its early years becoming one of the most popular destinations for customers in town ; however, due to changing shopping habits associated with postwar suburban development along Interstate 5 (I-5) such as an increase in scenic drive-ins and chain stores opening up across Western Riverside County (WRC), Fritch's closed its doors for good on July 8th 1970 following more than thirty years Of retail operation . In recent years much focus has been placed on restoring aspects associated with vintageVictorville such as The Victors' Dinner Show presented by Live Oak Productions every November at The Grove Theater; Gibbons Museum Of Art - housing both modern art pieces dating back to 1915 while also exhibiting classicVictorian architecture including 2 original California Palace Hotel Rooms - located adjacent To Town Hall opposite Plaza Park; And several other small initiatives such as making significant improvements to infrastructure such as resurfacing roadways vital for providing access during winter months thereby increasing safety while encouraging use of public transportation within town limits
On October 20, 1879, the town of Victorville was platted and named in honor of General George C. Marshall, the first U.S. Army Chief of Staff. The population of Victorville grew rapidly during its early years as a small farming community, and by 1908 it had reached 1,500 people. On July 15, 1912, Victorville became an incorporated city with a mayor and city council. During World War II, Victorvillestrings military materials for the war effort and also produced munitions for the atomic bomb project. In 1947-48, the city annexed part of neighboring Simi Valley which had been its rural neighbor since 1898. In 1970-71 residents voted to annex most of Camarillo County into the city limits; this annexation created a new district called "North Central District". In 1994-95 the City Council passed an ordinance creating a citizens' advisory committee to review all major zoning changes that may affect downtown redevelopment projects; this committee is still in existence today as one of Victorville's unique features.
