The Vallejo Airgun Museum is a museum that is dedicated to airguns and their history in the city of Vallejo, California. The museum was founded in 1987 by John Koval and his wife, Dianne. It is located at 311 W. Mission Street in the heart of the city, next to the old Vallejo Army Ammunition Plant. The Koval family has been involved with airguns for over three generations, starting with buying an early 1920s bolt-action rifle from a friend. They later started manufacturing their own guns, including some of the first air rifles ever made in California. Dianne used her skills as a fabricator to develop many of the museum's exhibits and artifacts related to airguns. Today, there are more than 20 displays on all aspects of airguns: pistols, shotguns, rifles, machine guns, ammunition products and more. In addition to historical specimens from throughout California's history (including firearms made by several notable manufacturers), there are now also model airplanes and helicopters available for rent or borrowings from memberships that range from $10 per month to $200 per year!

Fairbanks and named after Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Vallejo who fought in the Mexican-American War. Today, Vallejo is a well-known vacation spot with a population of over 140,000 people. The City of Vallejo was built on a promontory overlooking the Pacific Ocean and became one of California's most popular tourist destinations for both locals and visitors during the 19th century. By 1870, business had become so prosperous that Mayor Lorenzo Dowell proposed annexing coastal towns such as Redwood City and Pescadero to make room for Vallejo. In 1881, following the Panic of 1893, many businesses closed their doors throughout California due to lowflation rates which caused increased demand for goods exported from California but also decreased prices within the state itself. This depressed economy led to increased development in nearby San Francisco while lessening prosperity in Vallejos borders which were now threatened by this new boomtown development. However, Despite these challenges mayor Dowell successfully resisted annexation requests until he resigned in 1886 citing personal financial interests (despite later admitting that he would have annexed Pescadero if it had not been for local opposition). Public Works Director Atherton Heap described how "ValleJO is constantly being improved; public works are being done at all hours...It has never been possible heretofore even to imagine what can be done without expenditure." From 1861 until his death in 1915 Mayor Heap oversaw an extensive building program including construction of two jails (one still stands today), three schools (now University High School) as well as extensions to Recreation Park (now Menlo Park) and additions to city hall including a piazza with statuary commemorating mayors since 1865. The first post office opened in 1860 reporting information from Point Reyes Station before becoming an important part of town life serving residents along Indian creek before eventually opening up shop on Market Street next door to China Bakery beginning mail service between Portsmouth Beach near Daly City and Oakland on September 14th 1868 Heap also formulated plans for public transportation which included construction of financed streetcars running between downtowns through streets much like those currently used today with few changes aside from track widths having been widened since then allowing more efficient operation given increasing traffic congestion during morning rush hour especially around Wharf District where broad avenue becomes Tunnel Road crossing Engler Way just south of Curtis Ave making it difficult for buses & cars access only 2nd story car park
