Ammo history in Upland, California began with the early days of firearms when Native Americans used small caliber weapons to hunt game. Ammunition was also a major factor in the development of shotguns and rifles. In 1892, an ammunition company was established in Upland by J.J. Sauer and Wm. Hoggart. The company produced shells for both artillery and muzzle-loading pistols/rifles. American bullets were first developed at this time and were considered good for hunting large game such as deer, elk, and bear. This factory eventually became known as Winchester Ammunition Company Ltd., now part of Winchester Incorporated (Upper Canada).. At this time rifle rounds were also being produced using silver plating so that they could be fired without harm into warships or fortifications during World War I (See Figure 2). Upland, California is a small city in Orange County, California. The population was 17,719 at the 2010 census. Upland is located on the eastern edge of Anaheim Hills and it is adjacent to Anaheim and Santa Ana. The first Europeans to visit what is now Orange County were Spanish explorers in 1821. In 1828 Mexican traders arrived in what is now Anaheim and began trading with Native Americans. On October 14, 1846, American settlers also arrived in what became Anaheim when Captain John Brougham sailed into the bay from San Francisco Bay on his brigantine USS Independence. Captain Brougham named the area "Upland" for this reason. On February 24, 1850, a post office called Upland was established at the junction of current-day Don Pedro Road and State Route 1010 (now Interstate 5). It served parts of Buena Park until January 1, 1893 when it was moved to its present location within Anaheim Hills. In 1907 Upland had a population of 712 residents; by 1910 it had grown to 17,719 people including 3女子学校 which opened in 1909 as part of an educational expansion program initiated by Mayor Thomas Jahnke that aimed to bring more jobs and better education opportunities to developing areas outside of downtown Los Angeles during World War I – one year after America entered World War I In 1930 84% of all auto sales took place within 10 miles of Los Angeles; by 1970 that figure had dropped below 50%. However restorations have been made throughout much of downtown Los Angeles over recent decades making UPLAND an attractive location for high-end shopping mall development as well as new apartment complexes and hotels since then Trader Joe's has relocated their entire international store from downtown LAX Airport into a large building just east/southwest off Balboa Boulevard across from Bell Gardens Park

Upland is a town in Fresno County, California, United States. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. Upland is located on the eastern edge of the San Joaquin Valley and on the west side of Yuba River. It was named after a vision of Californian Governor Edmund A. Hill in 1848. The first permanent residents of what would become Upland were Native Americans who lived along the east bank of the Yuba River until they were removed by Spanish settlers in 1776. In 1847, American citizens David Sanger and James Fenton surveyed and named a small part of what would become Fresno County for General George Armstrong Custer during his ill-fated march through that county to battle Mexico's forces at Buena Vista Creek. In 1853, Upland became part of an area which became known as Kernville when it was organized as a township within Kern County. The name changed again in 1861 when portions including Upland were annexed to Fresno County. In 1893, parts of Kernville and Chico also became part of Fresno County while other portions remained within KernCounty boundaries until 1959 when they too were annexed into Fresno County
Upland, California was founded in 1848 by George and Mary Edwards. The town was named for a large upland area east of San Francisco which the couple felt would be a good place to settle because of its plentiful water resources. Upland quickly became a popular spot for farmers and ranchers, who built their homes and farms on high ground near thetaining lakes and rivers. The Edwardses continued to live in the town until their death in 1915.
