Red Dot Sighting Adventures began as a way for customers at nearby O'Neill's Camera & Video store to experience what it was like to be inside an arcade where games such as "Pac-Man" and " Asteroids" were played by gamers who had never seen anything else other than video game hardware. In 2000, owner Rick Newman decided to open his own business selling guided tours with O'Neill's help along with vintage items from around the area including SLR cameras and lenses from the early days of digital photography products. The first tour took place on July 4th, 2000 with Rick leading a group including himself, local historian Don Goudreau and science fiction author Robert A Heinlein on a walkthrough of downtown Union City highlighting some key sights associated with early twentieth century San Francisco Bay Area culture before enjoying refreshments at The Post office across the street from downtown Union City (the first stop on our tour). Two years later we started taking groups out during firmer summer months but have since updated our tour schedule several times per year based off what new attractions are added or improved in various parts of town! Today we offer 3 different typesof tours: 1) walking through old buildings from 1853-1917; 2) driving through neighborhoods that experienced significant growth between 1950-1980; 3) visiting post offices which served as important cultural destinations throughout these years! Each tour takes about 90 minutes so guests can enjoy plenty of time in beautiful downtown Union City while getting up close and personal with many interesting historical objects! Our goal has always been to provide convenient access for everyone interested in learning more about this important part of American history – whether they are residents or tourists looking for an adventure!"

Union City, California is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 41,544 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The first permanent European settlers in San Bernardino County were Frenchmen who arrived from Bordeaux in 1769 and built Fort Point on the Arroyo La Plata River. They named their new settlement for George Washington, who had been president of the United States that year. In 1821, they founded what would become Union City after amalgamating two other settlements in that year: Obispo and Spanish Wells. The city was incorporated as a city on July 1, 1907. At its peak during World War II it had a population of over 60,000 people living in downtown and outlying areas such as North Park and East Hollywood. The war destroyed much of Union City's infrastructure including many bridges and streetcars; however, the community rebuilt rapidly following the war with assistance from federal government planners under the auspices of WPA programs which aimed to promote regional self-reliance within American cities through such projects as creating job opportunities for local citizens.
