Incorporation into the United States had always been desired by many residents because they believe incorporation would have brought more services and jobs closer to their doorstep while also increasing opportunities for economic development; however they have yet to see tangible results consequent thereto since then annexation has not followed and there are presently few plans or programs emanating from those seeking incorporation into UnionCity proper beyond occasional events such as public hearings conducted by local business organizations eager for governance change but little else tangible having substantive impact beyond meeting attendance quotas set by respective governing bodies
