Tustin, California is a small city located in Orange County, California. Tustin's population was recorded at just over 11,000 residents in the 2010 census. The city is located on the eastern edge of the Inland Empire and borders Imperial Valley to the south and east. To the north lies San Bernardino County. The first Europeans to visit Tustin were three Mexicans who arrived from Baja California in 1836. They named their new town Sinaloa after Mexican state of Sinaloa. The first permanent resident was José Antonio Guerra, a cattleman from Porres Rancho near Lompoc, who built a home in 1839. A post office was established at Tustin on December 12, 1841, and within two years it had become an important station on the Santa Ana River Valley wagon road. In 1847, Juan Bautista Muñoz y Costilla became property owner of present-day Fountain Valley and began development of what would become known as Muñoz Canyon which ran through his land east of today’s Main Street/Eagle Rock Boulevard intersection. He named his new community Villa Rica de las Flores (Villa Rica by Flower) in honor of his wife’s birthplace in Puebla, Mexico where she had been born about 1793 AD according to one source; other sources claim her birthplace may have been Recuerdo de un Día (Remembrance from a Day), but no definite evidence exists to support this claim either way On July 12th 1863 General Angel Sepulveda stormed Villa Rica during an attack against Mexican troops commanded by General Isidro Lopez whileSepulveda was serving as governor general under US occupation forces led by Colonel John Waddell with headquarters at San Diego Sepúlveda ordered all inhabitants inside until he could confer with Governor Alvarado whom he found inside After consulting with Governor Alvarado he order sepultura for all those killed including women and children before ordering them burned alive outside despite pleas from some residents who wanted their bodies buried separately due to fears they might be contaminated by American soil The remains still remain unexcavated today along with many other monumental structures that onceoccupied these lands such as original farm buildings now used as apartments or strip malls

Tustin, California is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 118,883 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Orange County by population and the second-largest city in Los Angeles County. The name of Tustin comes from its original Mexican settlers: Tejonacos (“The Indians”). Spanish explorers discovered this area in 1769 and named it Rancho Santa Ana del Tustin after Father Junípero Serra. In 1887, William Randolph Hearst bought part of Rancho Santa Anita for $1 million. He used it to build his Hearst Castle and other properties here. In 1923, he sold his share of the castle and moved his family to Montecito, California where they lived until their death in 1998. In 1949, he reopened the castle as a luxury hotel called Tower Bridge Hall. It closed in 1984 but reopened as an arts center called Hearst Castle Museum on November 3rd of that year with new exhibits about Wm Randolph Hearst's life and times here at Tustin Castle
Tustin was founded in 1919 by the merger of two small communities, San Pedro and Villa Park. The town's first post office opened in 1920. In 1928, Tustin became an incorporated city. In 1957, Tustin hosted the California state Fair, which is now known as the Tustin State Fair. In 1978, Tustin became a full member of the City of Los Angeles metropolitan area. In 1990, Tustin passed ordinances creating a city-owned water system and a park district for the town. In 1994, Mayor Dick Schaefer declared "TUSTIN DAY" in honor of Mayor Donald Schaefer's hometown hero and mentor - former Mayor Bob Filner who had also served as mayor of San Diego from 1989 to 1997. On October 2nd, 1994, City Councilwoman Gloria Garcia introduced a resolution designating November 10th as "Bob Filner Day". The resolution was approved unanimously by councilmembers on November 9th and placed on the agenda for consideration at next month's meeting. The fairgrounds are now home to The Grove Theater
