From 1922 until 1978, the store was run by the Fenton family and their son, John Fenton Jr. John Fenton Jr. started the store because he wanted to provide customers with quality gun parts at a fair price. He also wanted to help keep Tustin safe from crime and protect its residents from injury or loss of life. The shop continued to be run by the Fenton family until 1978 when they passed away. In 1988, the store was sold to longtime customer and friend, Joe Imbrogno. Joe ran the store for 14 years before it closed in 2006 due to economic reasons. After being closed for 14 years, Joe decided to start his own Gun Parts History business once again in 2008 which continues today as Joe Imbrogno's Gun Parts History Store LLC..
