In 1907 after more than 20 years hard work by local citizens & leaders alike – notably Mayor Sidney Siegel – Grants Pass became finally incorporated into the newly created city limits making it easier for residents who lived near Grants Pass to move there without having their neighborhoods impacted by annexation or change at the hands of then-Mayor Siegel himself or members of his cabinet; this marked something truly unique in Orange County during that time period! The following year saw another milestone when Easton Field opened up just north/eastof downtown serving as both an airport & ball fields for many local sports teams throughout Prohibition Era including baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers & football’s San Diego Chargers! As a result of this battle, many Tongva were killed or captured, and Tustin became an English-speaking enclave within Spanish territory. In 1853, Mayor Manuel Nieto decided that Tustin would become one of the earliest towns in Los Angeles County. He founded the town on land that had been donated by Juan Bautista de las Casas. The town began to grow quickly due to its location near water resources and its access to railroad transportation. By 1870, Tustin had a population of about 200 people and was also home to several businesses such as a grocery store and post office. However, during the 1870s large sections of central L.A., including Highland Park and Echo Park, were acquired by wealthy Anglo-Americans who started developing these areas into streetcar suburbs—a type of development where single-family homes are scattered throughout a cluster of commercial districts called "downtown." Because there was no market for developments like this in rural Southern California at the time, few people moved into Tustin until after World War II when it grew again as a bedroom community for commuters living in nearby cities such as Pasadena or West Hollywood. During World War II, much development took place in downtown L.A., which included construction of new hotels/fairsgrounds/motels (such as Veterans Memorial Coliseum), new shopping centers (including EPCOT Center),and new housing developments (such as Northridge). These projects replaced older residential neighborhoods with high-rise buildings that today can still be seen along Wilshire Boulevard between Fairfax Avenue and Figueroa Street—the heartland of old downtown L .
