In 1869, another inventor named John Atkin created a more powerful stun gun called the "Atkin Gun." This weapon was very popular because it could be fired automatically with just one button press. It was also much more durable than previous stun guns. Unfortunately, this technology was eventually replaced by gasguns in the late 1800s because they were more reliable and easier to operate.
