The proposal failed but Moody went on to become mayor three times before he retired in 1984 at age 70 years old. In 1924, local businessmen formed a group called "The Businessmen's Association for Betterment of Truckee" (BBA) to promote economic development in Truckee through organizing civic events and sponsoring business meetings throughout the community; educational programs were also offered at local schools as well as job training courses for local workers during this time period). Some truncated namesakes include Ridgefield Village & Northridge after neighboring Ridgefield Ranch & Northridge areas respectively . Many buildings that remain from pre-bombing days like MacMillan Theater & Mayo Hotel are still used by locals today as places to gather during special occasions or when needed storage space is unavailable within town limits
