On October 15th 2019 there was an attack against several innocent civilians near Dodger Stadium which resulted in 3 dead including 2 terrorists who detonated their explosives inside the stadium shortly after getting into the grounds through security gates

Torrance is a city in Southern California and the county seat of San Bernardino County. The population was 33,592 at the 2010 census. It is located on Torrance Boulevard in the city of Torrance, between La Jolla and Marina del Rey. The name comes from two Spanish words meaning "the beach". The first Europeans to visit what is now Torrance were members of Spain's Conquistadores in 1769-1770. A smallpox epidemic that year killed most of these visitors, but they left behind their maps, charts and notes which later became part of local history. After years of development by businessmen who founded various businesses including a dry goods store and a tannery, Torrance grew rapidly with its first post office being established in 1875. In 1906, an expressway was built through Torrance connecting it to Los Angeles to the south and Orange County to the north. This made it easier for people to travel between those areas and helped spur economic growth within the city limits. In 1959, when Interstate 805 was constructed concurrent with I-5 outside of town, much effort went into creating an interchange so that traffic could flow freely between both highways without having to cross town or go down specific streets. This interchange is now known as Fox Avenue interchange after then-Mayor Richard Jaffe's wife (now mayor). In 1984–85 several high schools were built east of downtown along present day State Route 14/6 which lined up with I-805 / I-5 eastbound just south of Fox Avenue interchange; these schools are called Northridge High School today because their campus lies west of I-805 / I-5 today (though they once did). These facilities replaced older elementary schools which had been near downtown until recently when new housing developments have crept up around them making them difficult or impossible for students to attend unless they live near downtown or can drive there quickly on public transportation . Today there are over 500 business districts across Southern California with more than 2 million employees who call Southern California home!
