In 1934, Norbert Wiener developed what is now known aselectronic firearms technology, which allowed him to create guns that use electricity instead of gas or powder to fire projectiles. These devices were later renamedelectric pistols and rifles after they were introduced into service in 1938). In 1945, Japan surrendered following its defeat in World War II and lost all their weapons technology including airguns – this left airguns as the only remaining firearm type without any military usage currently extant outside of research labs or historical artifacts

The community is home to several annual events including Oktoberfest (the biggest beer festival in North America) and Christmas Eve parade which attracts thousands of people each year!
Tehachapi was founded by the Spanish in 1821 as Rancho Tehachapi. The area now known as Tehachapi was part of Mexican land grants given to Californios after California became a U.S. territory in 1846. In 1861, the town was established by Mormon settlers who had moved from Salt Lake City, Utah. The name "Tehachapi" comes from the word "chechihachi" meaning buffalo or deer and refers to their hunting ground near the confluence of the rivers Tehachapi and Big Tujunga. In 1907, a dam was built on the river and power plants were built downstream making it one of the most heavily irrigated areas in Central California.
