The first known weapon flashlight was created in 1911 by George W. Stephenson, a blacksmith and inventor from Stanton, California. Stephenson invented the first Pistol Flashlight, which used a filament lightbulb to illuminate a target at short range. The bulb had to be lit at an angle so as not to damage the lens of the flashlight. The pistol flashes were used by Special Forces during World War II to illuminate targets far away from friendly troops. In 1947, John Prentice Hogg produced the first commercial handgun flashlight using a small LED lightbulb that could be worn on a necklace or wristwatch chain as a security device. A year later, surplus military weapons began being imported into the United States and many manufacturers started producing weapon flashlights based on LED technology such as Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-GH5V and Cree’s XP-L HI V3 LED WeaponFlashlights. In 2001, brightness levels for self-defense handguns became legal in most states in the US when Congress passed the National Firearms Act (NFA). This law made it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to possess any firearms with naked or unshielded LEDs within 5 feet of any public place where open carry is allowed without purchasing an exemption from regulation. As result of this change in policy, many dealers stopped selling self-defense handgun lights due to difficulties complying with new regulations. The community has experienced many changes since its incorporation into VSM: the population increased from 2,000 to 20,000 during World War II; then decreased to 8,000 during the postwar period; but rose again to 14,500 by 2000 and 17,500 by 2010 due to its proximity to Fresno and other job centers in central California. The growth of downtown Stanton has also helped contribute to recent demographic stability within VSM while still maintaining its rural flavor. Today's downtown offers an eclectic mix of retail stores and restaurants including several high-end shopping malls along with smaller businesses across three blocks of North First Street between Church Avenue and East Seventh Street; two blocks east of that lies West First Street which hosts one of VSM's largest concentrations of antique shops as well as numerous other specialty retailers typical for cities this size

Stanton is a small town in the Inland Empire of California, located about 25 miles east of San Bernardino and about 35 miles south of Los Angeles. Stanton was founded in 1871 by early pioneers who came from Northern California. The first post office in Stanton was established in 1872. In 1896, when the US Census counted residents at just under 3,000, Stanton had 6 businesses and 36 residents. Many local businesses were acquired by larger companies over time, but many local residents continue to operate their own businesses today. The town is named after Major General George Custer and his regiment which fought during the American Civil War (1861-1865). The town was once home to a large cavalry troop that was stationed here until its disbandment in 1922. Today, there are only a few remaining buildings from this era including the old schoolhouse which has been preserved as an historical landmark. In 1923, Stanton became one of six communities chosen to be part of the new city of Ontario which grew up around Riverside County's eastern edge.ettawas designated as a largely white enclave with high levels of poverty and crime rates; however, it rapidly began to change following the passage of Proposition 8 (2008), which banned gay marriage statewide in California. Following protests against Proposition 8 from all over California, Stanton quickly became an inclusive community where everyone could enjoy equal rights regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
