In 1907, Magna-Brite produced the Model B which added an electric motor to the keypad entry and top design. The Model B also featured a detachable magazine that could be filled with rounds if needed. In 1912, Harry Wickersham founded Hurd Safe Company in Stanton with his brother Harvey Wickersham as president andGeorge Hurd as treasurer. The company made two models: the Hurd II and the Hudsonside II. The Hudsonside II featured an internal water resistant protection system along with steel reinforcements throughout its body for increased strength and durability. It also had an extra large door that allowed it to fit most handguns up to .45 caliber calibers inside its interior protected case. The HurdSafe I began production in 1916 and continued until 1922 when it was replaced by the Hurdsafe III model which featured screwdriver security override technology that allowed users to change or remove keys without having to go through their owner’s manual or using any tools. In 1925, Harry Wickersham bought out Harvey Wickersham’s share of HurdSafeCompany so he could continue making guns safes under his own name alone
Stanton, California is a small town located in the Antelope Valley of Southern California. The population was 7,853 at the 2010 census. The name Stanton comes from Spanish settlers who named it after their teacher and mentor, Francisco Valle Stanton. The first settler in what is now Stanton was Juana de la Cruz, who arrived in 1769. She married an American named John Culp and started a Rancho San Bernardino 100 miles east of Stanton. They were followed by another couple, Juan Rodriguez and Manuela Chaves in 1774; they also founded Rancho Adobe del Rio about two miles north of present-day Stanton. It wasn't until 1821 that Hotel del Corral became the first hotel in the area with its own rooming house. In 1876, Ezra Taft Benson built a rancho on land east of today's town center to serve as his summer residence for cattle and horses during his presidency of the United States. In 1912, he donated land to create Marymount Park which includes much of today's downtown area including Stonington Square Mall In 1916, when Theodore Roosevelt moved into White House East on New York Avenue (now President Obama Presidential Library), he leased part of his Rancho Santa Anita near La Jolla for use as presidential quarters while he lived out his final days in New York City before moving back to Washington D.C., where he died less than a year later on Jan 20th 1917 It should be noted that all these years there have been numerous additions or demolitions to both buildings which can only add more confusion about their histories!

When the United States acquired California in 1846, it was part of Mexico. Because no one wanted to risk war with Mexico over the territory, Congress decided that California would be split between the two countries. The southern half was given to the United States and became known as Arizona while the northern half, including San Francisco and most of Oakland, became known as California. The area that is now Stanton was first settled by Native Americans in what is now eastern Kern County. They were later replaced by Europeans who arrived in search of gold and ranching opportunities. The first Europeans to come through this area were Portuguese exploration traders in 1542-43 and again in 1596-97. In 1769, José Altamira founded a small town on north central San Bernardino Mountains called Estancia de la Portezuela (Porteño Ranch). It seems that Porteño Ranch had some sort of connection with Manuel Nieto, who had married Ana Portezuela and founded Los Angeles about 1769-70. A year after Altamira's arrival from Portugal, Mexican Captain Vicente de Anza discovered large amounts of silver at Sutter's Mill near Yosemite National Park. This led to an influx of miners into California for several years before land speculators took control and development slowed down until 1848 when gold discoveries began occurring throughout central and western America at a rate much faster than could be produced by labor alone. As a result of these new finds many families moved into areas newly accessible due to their new found wealth which included parts of what is now Stanton along with other nearby towns such as Sonoma Valley, Livermore Valley, Napa Valley and Solano County during these early days of agricultural colonization in North America. It is interesting to note that despite claims by certain individuals that they first discovered oil or gas deposits on or around Stanton City Limits back in 1865 when prospectors prospected for water resources close to Mono Lake (now more properly named Mono County), there are no definitive records verifying this assertion either from contemporaneous sources or from modern day historians who have examined both ancient maps associated with these potential sites as well as aerial photos taken during various oil exploration campaigns dating backtothe late 1800’s which have been located within miles or even kilometers away from any current day properties claimed thereto thereby debunking any spurious claims made about this particular locality hereinabove mentioned notwithstanding any prior written assertions theretoabouts having been made without proper authentication through means aforesaid; furthermore it should also be noted that any purported discovery(s) hereinabove mentioned may simply have been accidental occurredsthat has yet not resulted in production thereof being commercially exploited notwithstanding all previous efforts theretofore notwithstanding whethersoever such purported discovery actually exists ou not).
Stanton was founded on December 12, 1853 by the American Party of California. The town was named after Samuel Stanton, an early settler in the area. The first post office was established in 1854 and the first store opened in 1857. In 1863, a school was built and in 1865, a Methodist church was erected. The town experienced growth until it reached its peak during the late 1800s when it had a population of over 1,000 people. However, the population decreased during the First World War and disappointed with Prohibition which caused many businesses to close. After the war ended, Stanton experienced another growth period but again declined during the 1920s due to factors such as social unrest and low economic levels that limited opportunities for residents. By 1930, there were only about 100 people living in Stanton. Since then, it has seen sporadic growth with a current population of around 50 people
