The history of airguns in South Pasadena, California goes back to the early 1900s. A group of men from Los Angeles decided to start a small airgun shooting society, and named it the Southern California Rifle and Pistol Club. The first meeting was held on December 4, 1903. This was also the first time that we ever used gas guns. In 1912 we started using pistols for target practice and soon began selling ammunition. We continued to use pistols until 1916 when we switched to rifles. In 1919 we founded our own gun store called Park Place Arsenal which operated until 1949. Our store was located at 7602 E Western Ave in South Pasadena. We sold all types of firearms including Airguns, Shotguns, Archery Rifles and even Machine Guns! In 1951 we moved to 12th St in North Pasadena and continued operations until 1956 when we closed our doors for good due to lack of customers or financial problems. During our time as a business owner we purchased many new rifles, shotguns and handguns including: Colt Model 1911A1 pistols (1921-1925), Winchester Model 94R rifle (1920-1924), Browning Automatic Rifle (1915-1945), Savage Arms Service Rifle models 100F2S & 100F4E (1920-1922), Remington 870 shotgun (1963), Mossberg 590 pump action shotgun (.410 gauge) (1960-1966), Tecumseh .50 caliber air pistol model TK5P (.45 ACP) (1986). Today there are still some individuals who operate airgun businesses in South Pasadena such as Park Place Arsenal LLC., Pinstripes Firearms Company Inc., Airguns by Larry PDX LLC., World Gun Range LLC., Golden Gate Armory LLC., etc… These businesses typically sell both new and used firearms along with Ammunition, Gear Kits & More!

On February 18, 1895, two young men named Harry and Algernon took an airgun from a friend and began to shoot at pigeons. The first shot hit the pigeon in the head, setting it on fire. The men quickly ran to get a water bucket and some paper towels, put the flaming pigeon in it, and brought it back to their house. They put the flaming pigeon on the stove top until it died. South Pasadena, California is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 101,569 as of the 2010 census. South Pasadena is part of the Los Angeles–Long Beach metropolitan area. The first people to live in what is now South Pasadena were the Tongva people who arrived in 1770 from Southern California and built the mission San Gabriel Arcangelico on an important location near present-day Downtown Los Angeles. In 1892, Alameda County was created from parts of Orange and Riverside Counties and included what are now South Pasadena and Montebello. In 1924, when Hollywood began to grow rapidly, movie companies started buying land north of Interstate 5 for development into promised "Hollywoodland". By 1931, all land north of I-5 had been developed except for a small piece that still remains today within South Pasadena boundaries (now known as Old Town). I-5 was completed in 1933 making it possible for residents to travel outside their neighborhoods and businesses grew along with industry; gas stations, fast food restaurants and other large businesses dotting residential streets at North Glendale Boulevard/Pine Avenue NE until the early 1990s when they were replaced by single family homes which continue to characterize the community today. In 2009 South Pasadena's annexation by Long Beach brought more than 100 thousand new residents within its borders; many coming through Artesia Boulevard (the original routing of then-Interstate 405) which saw rapid growth after being rerouted around State Route 83 due to concerns about collisions between local drivers and buses turning onto I-405 from Artesia Boulevard during morning rush hour traffic congestion. Today many south Asians have settled here because there are few job opportunities in nearby cities such as LA or Burbank while also having access to quality school systems with students living close by providing affordable housing options available especially given current economic conditions across much of Southern California

In 1912 England enacted the Restriction on Firearm Use Act which limited public access to firearms within 150 yards from schools, playgrounds, churches, cinemas etc., this law remained in place until 1964 when it was repealed following pressure from NRA members (the National Rifle Association being then headquartered in Washington D.C.). It should be noted that although this act did not specifically mention airguns it effectively banned all muzzleloading weapons within its jurisdiction including pistols and rifles over 6 inches breech size.. This prohibition led to increased availability of open-air guns among recreational shooters who now had unrestricted access to high powered weaponry! subsequent amendments passed during World War II allowed civilians To Own & Carry Air Guns but unfortunately these changes didn’t do much to stop military usage which continued unabated well into the postwar era .
