The first adobe building in what is now South Lake Tahoe was built at this location; it still stands today as courthouse #4. This early development helped spur growth around South Lake TahOE during the 19th century when access to easy transportation made life easier for people living hereabouts. Today's businesses and shopping districts sprang up thanks to this new industry: fracked natural gas drilling began taking off nearby in the late 1970s and quickly became one of the most important economic factors driving growth throughout much of southern Nevada Valley since then. Silvermining has also been a significant source of income for residents here over recent decades with numerous small companies producing coins and silver products such as bullets and jewelry nuts etc., but these are now all gone due to competition from more profitable hobbies like farming or power production projects elsewhere in Nevada Valley These days you can find many things made locally including automobiles (which have become almost nonexistent outside Reno), appliances (like dishwashers) and furniture - just about anything you might expect from a big city center! In 1862, as part of General John Custer’s Invasion of California, Cache Creek was successively burned by Ulysses S Grant and his forces near present day Yosemite National Park while they were making their way south from Placer County into Mono County; however most evidence suggests that no civilian or military casualties occurred as a result of these fires other than some minor destruction to property within a few miles of Cache Creek itself Cache Creek had been important for both Native American trade goods reaching downriver through its confluence with Sacramento River and wagon traffic between points north and south along Interstate 80 corridor including Woodland Hills east of Truckee Meadows grazing operation operated by Rancho Cañon del Norte landowner Humboldt & Assessor James Kapp
