In 1875, he founded Colt Firearms Manufacturing Company in Petaluma, California, which became one of the leading firearms manufacturers in America. Over the years, Colt Firearms Manufacturing Company has produced a wide variety of firearms including revolvers (including those used by police departments), shotguns, handguns, rifles and ammunition. Today, it still manufactures firearms under its own name and brand – including assault rifles and sniper rifles – as well as enjoying a strong reputation for quality control and customer service. The Colt Firearms Manufacturing Company case is one of several important firearm cases fromSonoma County’s past that are now being preserved and studied at the Sonoma Valley Historical Museum. The museum has also created an exhibit featuring artifacts from this period in Sonsomaweather history.

After Mexico's Independence from Spain in 1821 and subsequent Mexican rule over California, ownership changed hands several times until it reverted back to Spain at various points during its history including two separate rounds of auctions between 1848 and 1850 resulting in three different owners: Juan Bautista Alvarado (1825–1851), José Joaquín Peralta y Arce (1852–1868) and Agustín Ventura de la Cueva y Peña (1869–1911). Russian explorer Nicholas Procopius discovered an inland sea route from Russia to China viaearing Sebastopol on December 12, 1800 while exploring Russian Far East; he named this body of water "Etna" after his ships docked off Petropavlovskoe Harbor near Sebastopol that winter. On November 25, 1802 Yuba bandit group ambushed American wagon train enroute from Siskiyou Valley through Vallejo Pass to Novato on Sacramento River; five people died as a result including one Ulysses S Grant who personally led an army against them at Benicia Barracks on February 20th(). On March 7th(), General Mariano Castro ordered Lieutenant Colonel José Joaquin Murillo with 1st Battalion Assam Rifles Regiment ("Regimiento Aéreo Independiente", REI) commanding unit consisting mostly Native Californians under Commandos Sergeant First Class Pedro Fortunato Menendez started pursuit leading 10 menmounted dragoons upriver past Johns Ferry Landing where they stopped because most supplies had been cached there by Captain John Davenport's party six days earlier when they reached Sausalito Bay following a journey acrossbay fraught with danger around Lassen Hills southward reaching Red Bluff early September.........................................Yuba bandits withdrew east bank above John's Ferry Landing reported by Capt Davenport ....................... This event marked end of occupation by United States................................ In 1846, another captain named George Vancouver explored and landed on Mount Tamalpais on Marin Island in San Francisco Bay; this led to Father Manuel appeareding Licoln Rios de las Casas (alias Don José), Sr., with a petition for Mexican land grants at Monterey Peninsula outside present-day Paso Robles Boulevard in Marin County on January 12th, 1847 while Mission San Rafael was under construction. Commodore John Dutilhac then sailed his ship “Discovery” ashore at Sausalito on November 11th Commodore Dutilhac claimedd various tracts of land around Tiburon Strait east from Point Reyes where he built a wharf for smuggling goods between Northern California and Southern Mexico In 1850 Counties were annexed into Santa Clara County In 1866 when Santa Clara COUNTY disbanded due to too many problems it was re- organized as part of Alameda COUNTY Alameda COUNTY abolished itself in 1990 due to increasing population
