The first holster company in Solana Beach was The Armoury, which started up in 1909. In 1911, W. C. Brown Company began manufacturing holsters in Solana Beach. In 1929, The Armoury became the first holster company to open up shop in Los Angeles County. From there, they quickly became one of the most popular holster companies in Southern California. Solana Beach, California is a small town on the Pacific Coast of the United States. It is located in Orange County and it is part of the San Diego metropolitan area. Solana Beach has a population of about 38,000 people. The town is named after Spanish explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, who explored what is now California in 1542-45. In 1876, Solana Beach was incorporated as a city. On December 12, 1990, Solana Beach became an unincorporated community within Orange County. The population of Solana Beach was estimated to be 47,500 as of 2018

Solana Beach, California is a town located on the Pacific Coast of North America. It is bordered by the Mexican state of Baja California to the east and south, while the United States state of California to the west. The town's name comes from Spanish meaning "sandy beach." The town was founded in 1883 by Englishman John Atherton, who named it for his coastal locality in Spain. The first permanent settler in Solana Beach was James Hickey, who arrived in 1881. By 1895, there were 11 residents living in Solana Beach proper and 5 people working on land around it. In 1902, Solana Beach became an incorporated municipality with its own government. In 1916, Solana Beach became part of the United States after World War I ended. At that time, it had a population of just 10 residents. However, by 1923, the population had grown to over 100 and by 1930 it numbered 230 residents. In 1938-1939 during World War II due to bombing raids against Los Angeles County (then known as Orange County), many homes were destroyed along with most businesses within central downtown Solana Beach; however all but a couple of them have since been reconstructed or rebuilt including Hickey's Store which reopened in 1951 after sitting closed for nearly 60 years! During World War II many American servicemen stationed at Naval Base Coronado also took advantage of local beaches such as Isla Margarita where they could sunbathe and enjoy views across San Diego Bay before returning home late at night aboard USS Indianapolis or USS San Francisco . After war ended many families returned to their old lives but some new families moved into various areas inland until about 1950 when things calmed down again and no major developments occurred until recently when plans are currently under way for a large renovation/rehabilitation project that should begin next year
In 1892, the city of Solana Beach was founded by brothers Alfred and George W. Sands. The sandy beach at the mouth of the Santa Monica River was a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. In 1925,Solana Beach became an incorporated city with its own government. The first mayor was Harry P. Laughlin. In 1957, Solana Beach annexed part of Ventura County to form a new city-county hybrid system. On July 1, 1984, Solana Beach became an official City of Beverly Hills
