One of the most famous businesses that operated in Shasta Lake for years was Sears- Roebuck & Company. Sears- Roebuck & Company operated from 1911 until 1982 when it folded due to economic conditions within their company. However, some of the most memorable moments at Sears- Roebuck & Company include when they opened their first store in 1911 and when they became one of the first companies to sell computer equipment! Many people remember spending time at Sears- Roebuck & Company because their products were always affordable and there were never any sales promises made that couldn’t be fulfilled!
