The late 1960s saw a change in how firearms were being used in America.Gunfighter culture had become popularized during World War II, and it continued to grow during the Korean War and Vietnam War. As such, demand for firearms clothing increased significantly. Selma Armory responded to this demand with an innovative product called " NRA Gun Jackets." This product consisted of two general-purpose portions: an inner lining that kept you warm inside your jacket while wearing it (the "warmup"), plus an outer shell that protected you from cold weather conditions outside your jacket (the "armor"). It was one of only a few civilian firearm garments marketed specifically to law enforcement officers at that time. By 1974, all three branches of American society had joined hands to create what is now known as Second Amendment Defense League (SADL). SADL identified that there was a need for more organized support than could be provided through individual donations or grassroots activism alone; therefore they decided to produce their own firearm garments specifically designed for SADL members! NRA Gun Jackets continued to be popular into the 1980s; however they were replaced by new designs starting around 1990 which focused on ammunition compatibility within specific rifles/guns/ammunition types

Selma, California is a city in the U.S. state of California and seat of Alameda County. It is located in the East Bay region of San Francisco Bay, and was originally part of Contra Costa County. The population was 72,794 at the 2010 census,[2] making Selma one of the most populous cities in California. The name Selma comes from Spanish for "town on the creek". The town's first post office opened in 1885. At that time, it was named Campo de las Palmas (Spanish: "Campo of Palm Trees"), after a palm-tree plantation nearby. In 1907, Campo de las Palmas became Selma when its residents voted to change their name to honor then-Governor Manuel López Montt. Selma has been an agricultural center since before Californian settlers came to this area; early land grants were made for irrigation purposes and farming settlements grew up around wells and springs near present-day downtown.[3] A wharf and landing on the Sacramento River served as a port for goods brought overland by Native Americans during what is now known asthe 19th century fur trade era;[4][5] gold mining began in 1848 and continued until 1860 when Prospectors went bust because they could not find any suitable veins.[6][7] Beginning in 1871,[8] miners began arriving by rail from all over Northern California looking for rich strikes; by 1880, there were 50 mines operating hereabouts.[9][10][11] In 1906, following Gold Rush fever sweeping across many parts of California,[12]15% of Alameda County’s population moved into Selma because it had become one of the so-called “gold centers” due to its wealth in gold mining hardware and other minerals such as quartz sandstone quarries accessible only from certain points along Interstate 5 – including those just south of downtown Selma on Stagecoach Road where today’s Amtrak Station stands ( passenger trains stopped running there abruptly with little notice about why).[13]:p1[14]:pp1–2 By 1910 more than two-thirds of its citizens were white Anglo Saxon Protestants who were descendants or descended from English colonists who founded Mission San Francisco de Asís (now DowntownSan Francisco) back around 1776; these English colonists had also brought with them their own systemized Anglican church which they built within walking distance called Trinity Episcopal Cathedral which still stands today despite being largely remodeled some 80 years ago:[15]:p3 This ecclesiastical establishment led to problems with African American Methodists coming into conflict with white Protestant denominations which saw African Americans as servants rather than equals having resided within society since well before independence Square Clock Tower lit up at 6 PM every night beginning on October 14th 1840 CE – this event becoming known locally as Black Friday starting November 15th 1840 CE

The early 20th century marked an era for great changes for Selma as well; it became one of the largest black settlement areas in North America and experienced rapid growth due to African American migration throughout much of the decade (particularly during World War II). One such development was the establishment of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), which provided educational opportunities for many African Americans living in Selma at this time (although these institutions have since closed or merged with other schools). Additionally,Selma played host to significant events associated with National Civil Rights Movement leader Dr. King including his first public appearance here on November 15thε along with leaders Elijah Muhammad and Stokely Carmichael on December 3rd; both occasions marking major milestones within this seminal movement across America at that point.
