Saratoga, California is home to one of the most famous shooting ranges in the world, the Saratoga Shooting Range. The range has been used by both amateur and professional shooters for over a century. Today, it remains a popular destination for visitors from all over the United States and around the world. The first shooting range in Saratoga was established on May 15, 1892 by George A. Hargrave. It was located on an undeveloped lot north of town off US 101.known as "Hargrave's Hill." The original facility consisted of three rifle ranges, two shotguns ranges, and a tennis court. In 1916, the original rifle ranges were combined into one facility and renamed the Saratoga Rifle Club Range. The club was incorporated in 1917 and continued to use that name until 1959 when it changed its name to the Saratoga Shooting Range Foundation Incorporated (SSRF). The SSRF purchased land adjacent to Hargrave's Hill in 1922 which became known as "Griggs Ranch" after Major General James Wigglesworth Griggs who served as Commandant of B Company 1st Battalion Hollywood Signal Corps during World War I. construction began on what would become known as "The Green House," later renamed "Griggs Manor" after Major General Griggs' wife Mildred Dickson Griffiths. In 1941, SSRF moved their headquarters from "Griggs Manor" to their current location at 675 Main Street in downtown Sarataga which they have occupied ever since. In 1964-1965 renovations took place at "The Blue House" which is now known as indoor practice range #1 (IPR1). This project was funded by then Governor Ronald Reagan with assistance from his predecessor Edward Mesely Jr.. On October 17th 1966 SSRF hosted its first Annual Gun Show attended by representatives from many local businesses including JBL Radio Corporation who donated show time on Saturday night permit space at their hangar next door to be used by SSRF employees for storage and display of firearms…This event still takes place annually today with similar programming including live music…On July 5th 1978 SSRF held its second Annual Gun Show @ IPR2 located inside Newmarket Open Air Market Pavilion (now defunct)….On November 3rd 1979 private members pistol competition opened at IPR3………..In 1984gun show expanded again options increased with 10 exhibitors total…..On January 27th 1985private members pistol competition ended………………In 1990 private member handgun competition reopened at IPR4…………………..In 1994 private members pistol competition closed…………………..In 1998 shotgun competitions opened also………………….In 2002 Glock pistols added back into program………………….Today there are seven Pistol Ranges available through our foundation………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………···

A few weeks later Commodore John Doolittle sailed upriver from Sacramento with 27 ships carrying 526 men and boys under command of Lieutenant Colonel William Hickey to establish a military post at today's East Bay Point on Sunday Harbor where he built Fort Daggett on August 29th 1818 In 1848 California Gold Rush began as farmers around here started striking goldfields in the foothills northeast of town but it didn't take long before important settlements sprang up like Redding (founded 1865), Belmont (founded 1870), Antioch (founded 1872), etc., until there were over 400 companies operating out of Saratoga between 1850 and 1890 inclusive During World War II many factories were built here such as Ford Motor Company’s Assembly Plant #2 which became known as “Albany” due to its location next door across Highway 99 from City Hall Today there are numerous shops and restaurants dotting Elmira Street throughout town center while main streets continue past City Hall along both shores of Lake Erieou making it one big shopping mall

In 1804, American inventor Nicholas-Jacques Conte created an even more advanced typeofear muff known as the “Conte conical device” which featured three cone-shaped microphones placed at various angles around a circular diaphragmic centerpiece). By 1810, all major inventors had developed some formofear muff however no one really knew how to use them effectively! The early 20th century saw an explosion inthe productionand use ofear muffs due to World War I efforts to protect military personnel from artillery shell fire and air raids; this ledto renewed interest inear muffs among civilians as well as soldiers during World War II (due in part to developments such as radar). Earmuffproduction peaked during World War II but decreased thereafter because ofensorization regulations put into place by the United States military after Pearl Harbour; however increased production resumed soon afterwards when new technologies became available such as FM radio receivers capable of picking up audio signals equally in both ears)). After World War II endedeared mufs continuedto be produced until they were phased out completely in favorof digital audio products in the 2000s ().
