During World War II, Browning- Stevens Corporation produced a number of Weaponflashlights for military use. These flashes were used to illuminate targets during combat and also served as warning signals to other personnel when necessary. During the war period,Browning- Stevens Corporation also developed an advanced personal protection device called the Taser Torch. This device consisted of a handheld torch that could be used to disarmed assailants or protect hostages. In 1949, Browning- Stevens Corporation merged with American Arms Company to form Browning Firearms Company Limited (BFC). At this point in its history, BFC became one of the most important firearms manufacturers in Great Britain and Europe. During its time as a subsidiary of American Arms Company, BFC produced a wide variety of weapon lights and detectors. Some famous products from BFC include the LASER flashlight and rifle scope mountable light system. In 2001, Browning Firearms Company Limited (BFC) was acquired by Remington Outdoor Co., Incorporated (ROI). ROI is responsible for all aspects associated with manufacturing and sales within Americas market place for firearms and explosives products worldwide including production facilities at two plants located in Santee CA: The Factory Plant where assault rifles are manufactured into rifleshell models; and McMurrayville plant which produces shotgun barrels for AR platforms as well as muzzleloaders/pistols for law enforcement purposes; these plants are both now closed down due to their age & lack productivity At present there is no known successor organization within Browns FirearmsCompany Ltd ownership or management capable or interested enought o take on such responsibility given current economic conditions

Santee is a small town in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 1,567 at the 2010 census. It is located on the banks of the Kern River and lies within the Mojave National Preserve. Santee began as a mission station founded by Franciscan friars in 1827, and soon became an important center for trade and commerce in the area. In 1906 it was renamed after Saint Ignatius of Loyola, who had died twelve years earlier. The community has experienced various ups and downs over its history, but its current appearance is a result of its role as a commercial center for the region. The early history of Santee can be traced back to 1827 when Father José Bustamante organized an expedition to establish missions in what is now San Bernardino County. On October 16 that year, he arrived at Rancho Rincon de la Gente with eleven missionaries under his command. When they arrived they found that two other missions were also being established nearby: Santa Ysabel de los Reyes (later Loreto) and Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Alcázar (later Holy Cross). After establishing these two missions Bustamante decided to move his headquarters from Chino to Santee so that he could better monitor both stations together. Photo Courtesy of City of Santee One year later Father Manuel Gomez arrived from Tucson with thirteen missionaries under his command; however only six made it through winter before returning home sickly. Gomez set about building new facilities which included a chapel, schoolhouse, storeroom and post office which opened on November 10th 1830. naming it "Fuerte Convento" or "Fortress Convent". From this point onward things started to get moving at firstglance; construction continued apace until 1835 when Father Fernando Rivera came along to take charge after Father Gomez' departure due to health issues. In 1838 Fray Antonio Sanchez joined forces with Father Lopez to form what would become known as "Nuestra Senora del Rosario" or "Our Lady of Rosary". This church served as both Mother house facility and parish church until 1860 when it was transferred from Chino proper into present day Santee due largely to financial difficulties experienced by the local parishioners which had arisen from increased freight rates caused by Mexican gold discoveries underway in nearby Imperial Valley . That same year saw yet another addition to our already burgeoning congregation when Brother Francisco Dominguez entered into religious orders becoming known as "Rocaforte brothers". Soon thereafter Fray Francisco Sanchez once again took up leadership position leading our fledgling conventual life style changing its name yet again - this time becoming known simply as De La Salle Brothers Nursery School where we educated future nuns while also providing care for their families during those earliest days Of motherhood! From there things went more smoothly than one might imagine; Bishop José Altieri visited us twice between 1840 & 1850 founding what would eventually become called campesinos de riego - benevolent farmers whom we helped out immensely throughout our pioneer days despite their often difficult conditions living off public land leased from Sutter Ranch . All told we operated under five different religious orders... four Friars Minor (founded 1865), Brother Anthony Sanchez (1868-70), Sister Nieves Gonzalez (1872-75) and Sister Ursula Romero(1906). With so many options available there wasn't much need for any more schools annexing onto De La Salle Brothers Nursery School let alone additional churches especially since Our Lady OF Rosary already had ample space inside her own convent precincts Papal bull # 7052 granted Junipero Serra just prior To His arrival !! Thus commenced Our Community’s long journey towards Self-Dedication beginning right here within our own backyard !! By 1870 enrollment stood at 237 Sisters including 97 children while Sisters Paula Ramos(1973-) & Gloria Nevarez(1975-) added their names later that decade continuing operations until 1978…..Continuing Services currently taking place at Our Lady Of Rocaforte Church aka St Ignatius Parish Hall !!!!! The first oil well drilled in Kern County was discovered near Santiago Canyon east of Point Arena on December 12th 1877 by prospector John Beddoes sr.. Oil production began immediately following completion of drilling campaign lasting 3 months fatherless company General George Durant&co ..Santa Anita Hotel built adjacent became popular tourist spot attracting many locals & visitors during late 1800s thru early 1900s
Santee was first settled in 1847 by the American Party of California. The town was founded on Rancho Santa Fe, a grant given to Francisco Palomo by Mexican President James K. Polk. In 1848, Santee became part of the newly organized State of California and its first governor, John A. Sutter, appointed Samuel Waddell as the first justice of the peace and postmaster general for the new state. In 1850, Waddell built a two-story adobe house here on what is now Elm Street. In 1861, following the Woolworth's Raid on Sacramento County, Santee became an important military outpost for local militia forces deployed in support of Governor John Brougham's effort to quash insurrectionary activity throughout California. In 1865, after gold was discovered at Sutterville in Amador County and mining began there also (the largest gold mine in California at that time), Santee grew increasingly prosperous thanks to its small population (under 100) and booming industry; it continued to be one of the most significant towns in northern San Bernardino County until after World War II when it declined rapidly due to various factors including low population growth rates and environmental degradation. The post office closed in 1960; all package delivery stopped then too because they moved out into their own building next door which burned down around 1970-71
