In 1938 an addition to Pistol Range #3 - now called Rifle Range #3 - was constructed adjacent to existing Gun Range #2 providing three firing lanes with 50 feet separation between each lane and 12 feet trigger pull height limit! This new range quickly became popular among those who desired more excitement & challenge than traditional handgun shooting! In 1941 another addition - now known as Pistol Range 4 -was added adjacent to existing Shotgun Range 3 making it five separate pistol ranges within walking distance of town! Today this area remains popular with local shooters because of its variety of targets including steel plates, white paper silhouettes, water balloons and more! It wasn’t until 1949 that Automatic Firearm Warning Receiver (AFWR) systems began being installed at all public shooting facilities throughout the U.S., becoming mandatory by 1966! At that time NRA developed rules requiring installation of AFWR system at all public indoor gun ranges regardless of type of firearm being fired – pistols only included at Pistol Ranges while rifles could be fired at Shotgun Ranges too!!!
