Target holders have been around in Santa Rosa, California for a while now. The first target holders were placed at the old Recreation Park in 1984. There have been many changes to the target holders throughout the years, but all of them have had one common goal - to provide a fun and challenging experience for everyone who uses them.
Santa Rosa is located in Southern California, about an hour's drive from Los Angeles. The city was founded in 1887 by American soldiers as a result of the Mexican-American War and became part of the United States in 1912. Santa Rosa has a population of around 100,000 and is the county seat for Kern County. The area that now makes up Santa Rosa was first inhabited by Native Americans who called it Yuma Kiva or "the heart of the mountain." In 1769, Father Junípero Serra arrived in what is now Santa Rosa and began missionary work with the Franciscan missionaries. He named the town after himself, San Rosarito de las Pulgas (Saint Rosary of Bees). By 1887, many small villages had cropped up all over California due to waves of immigration from Europe. One year earlier, on March 25th, 1885, Mexicans who were living in Northern Mexico registered with U.S. Customs at Tehachapi Ranch near Bakersfield to apply for citizenship. At this time most Mexicans were still considered aliens and were not given citizenship until they had been naturalized and paid taxes to Uncle Sam. Upon their arrival in Santa Rosa they set up shop among the Native Americans with some help from Father Serra. The city quickly grew because of its location on a strategic route between Lompoc and downtown Los Angeles and its handy access to water supplies found near numerous farms as well as its ample stores and businesses available for farmers looking to market their products statewide or export goods abroad. As word spread about how great things were happening back east where America was being built and people started coming here to see what all the fuss was about they soon realized that there could be no comparison! Not only did they have access to all sorts of new technologies which hadn't yet become prevalent here such as electricity (a rarity then) but also plenty of jobs doing everything from farming to manufacturing just like back home! After World War I ended things slowly picked up again with several smaller businesses starting up but it wasn't until 1940 when things really got going when local man Jack Laird opened hisLaird's Clothing Store which quickly became one of SantaRosas biggest employers! With so much business activity going on it was inevitable that social events would follow which are often still celebrated today at various places throughout town including downtown square known formally as “The Square” where birthday Celebrations are usually held every Fourth Thursday night; parade each November; Stated Righteousness Festival each July; Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at First Baptist Church on Main Street opposite City Hall during Advent; Ground Zero BBQ cookout every August; Donner Party Celebration at UC Berkeley where music performances are always scheduled followed by a donut dinner at Carrara's restaurant

Santa Rosa is a city in the U.S. state of California, located on the West Coast of the United States. The population was 79,075 at the 2010 census and is the eighth most populous city in California. Santa Rosa has been called "The City of Roses" due to its many rosy colors from the sun's light reflecting off of snow-capped mountains in nearby Yosemite National Park to streets that are blanketed in red roses during Easter time. The motto for town was "Misericordia Est" which means " Mercy Is All We Need ". In 1853, a group of German immigrants founded what would become known as Santa Rosa with a deed they received from Juan Bautista Alvarado who had purchased land in Rancho San Mateo County from Missionaries José de la Cruz and Francisco Javier Alvárez. The first post office was established in 1854 and named Goleta because it lay near where Gretta Hill now stands. Goleta served until 1868 when it became part of Watsonville due to an act by then-Governor John Cushing, who felt that Goleta should be moved nearer Monterey Bay because it was being used as an military garrison by Mexican forces opposing Ulysses S. Grant's army during the Mexican-American War (1846-1847). Postmaster General Amos Kendall renamed Goleta Monterey Bay Station on May 14, 1870 after then-yearly governor Humboldt County's largest bay district; before that it had been Healdsburg (then part of Ukiah). In 1886, local merchant James Wickersham donated 160 acres (65 ha) east of present day south side street between Alma Street and Pacific Avenue to establish what would become known as Golden Gate Park; adjacent parcels were donated by other members of Wickersham family over time including Packard brothers Frederick Augustus and George Washington Packard and banker David Starr Lord Jr.. In 1907, Governor Hiram Johnson announced his intention to make Santa Rosa into one large city within five years; this plan met opposition from many residents who saw their small town status as beneficial to them since they could continue living close to their friends and families while larger cities experienced growths away from them. On December 12, 1907, Johnson signed legislation creating two new cities: San Francisco Municipal Water District #1 (SFMWD#1) which included portions of Redwood City northward along 21st Street past Regency Boulevard to Market Square; Chico #2 which included much of downtown but not Regency Boulevard northward beyond First Street east thereof through Angeleno Heights neighborhoods bounded by Ghirardelli Square on the west side (#2 includes some territory currently within western Hayward neighborhood), east side past Interstate 680 yards southbound between Katellan Drive eastbound lanes southwesterly beyond University Avenue southeast corner at Turkman Way intersection thence through Noe Valley neighborhoods bounded by Pershing Square on north side (#3 includes some territory currently within eastern Palo Alto neighborhood), south side past I/680 yards westbound between El Camino Real eastbound lanes southwesterly beyond Eastshore Drive northeast corner at Stevenson Way intersection thence through Oakdale neighborhoods bounded by Pershing Square on northwest side (#4 includes some territory currently within eastern Palo Alto neighborhood), northeast corner at Stevenson Way intersection with Donner Road southwest boundary line thence through Alpine neighborhoods boundenby Pershing Square on southeast Side
The first European to visit Santa Rosa was the Portuguese explorer Pedro Álvares Cabral in 1521. The area that is now Santa Rosa was part of Alta California, Mexico before it became a part of the United States in 1846. In 1853, Captain George W. Griggs founded the town of Santa Rosa on an uninhabited island in what is now Half Moon Bay. The name Santa Rosa originated from Saint Rose of Lima, who was born in present-day San Francisco and died in 1775.
