Santa Paula, California is one of the most unique and popular tourist destinations in the United States. It has a rich history as an agricultural center and since its annexation by Los Angeles in 1881, it has been a center for industry and commerce. The town was named after Santa Paula, a Mexican princess who married an Englishman, John C. Fremont. The first permanent settler in Santa Paula was James Sisson, who arrived with his family in 1848. By 1860, there were nearly 200 people living in Santa Paula. The town's growth was due to its close proximity to San Francisco and its natural resources including oil wells and coal seams near the Sacramento River. The railroad came through Santa Paula in 1872 and soon the town had become an important transportation hub for Leland Stanford's railway company. In addition to its role as an economic powerhouse, Santa Paula also became known for its high-quality wines which have been exported around the world. In 1916, when Prohibition was repealed, wine production increased significantly because of this new market opportunity. As California's economy grew more diversified, so did its tourism industry; consequently, scopes became increasingly popular throughout much of the 20th century thanks to their ability to zoom into small details that other cameras could not capture. The Schmidt–Cassegrain Telescope has the capability to resolving objects up to several hundred kilometers away with resolutions up to 1 kilometer per pixel! Optical resolved pictures are traditionally taken using short exposures timed at just T/8 seconds which gives you about eight minutes of exposure time on an Optics camera lens against one minute on a digital camera! This makes it possible for astronomical photographers working near dark sky sites where shorter exposures might not be possible or desirable due To vignetting caused by atmospheric turbulence

The first Europeans to visit Santa Paula were the Spanish who named it San Pedro de la Gualega. It was later renamed Rancho Santa Paula after José Francisco Pacheco and his family bought the land in 1827 from Marcos de la Hoz y Costilla. On December 1, 1847, an act of Congress created Ventura County and gave it its current name of Ventura County which applied to all of what is now Orange County as well as parts of Los Angeles and Riverside Counties. The original post office for Santa Paula opened on January 17, 1848. In 1892, a public school was built in downtown and became known as "Paco's School" after Pablo Neruda who taught there. On July 14th 1914BB goes into effect making this date our national holiday! We remember that day with many picnics and lots of good cheer! Today, much has changed since then including some wonderful developments such as Applebees restaurant being founded here in 1978 by Gene Karpyshyns just outside the old city limits (now called Westlake Village). With so many great businesses come families who decide to call this place home- like ours! Our children attend local schools with opportunities for extracurricular activities like soccer, baseball and dance; they have also found their way into local churches where they worship God along with their classmates from across town or country! They are used to dealing with snow blindness during Christmas time because we have had several inches fall on us over these past few winters! And yet despite all that happened here before or since1978 our kids still go door-to-door asking if anyone knows how they can get presents for their friends on Christmas morning!!! That doesn't happen anywhere else but here!!! OUR SANTIAGO SANTA PAULA CHRISTMAS PARTY IS SOME WHAT OF A REGULAR ACT FOR US AND OUR CHILDREN HERE IN THE COMMUNITY !!!!!!
