The Santa Paula, California soft gun case history begins with the manufacture of pistols by John Browning in 1911. The company was founded by John Browning and his brother-in-law Will H. Sellers, Jr. in a small town east of Sacramento called Simi Valley. The initial products were pistols made from brass and leather cases with wood grips and ammunition pouches. In 1917, the company moved to San Francisco and changed its name to Browning & Sons Incorporated. From here on out, the company produced both revolvers and rifles magazine-fed firearms that featured heavy barrel weights for better accuracy. Santa Paula, California is a city in Ventura County, California. The population was 33,904 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in Ventura County and fourth most populous city in Southern California. Santa Paula's ZIP code is 92705. The local Spanish name for the city is "Paso de Don José". The first European to visit what would become Santa Paula was Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo on October 15, 1769 while on his way from San Diego to Monterey Bay. He named the bay after Pieçano de la Hoz who had earlier visited it. On November 14 of that year, Franciscan missionary Father Junípero Serra founded a mission called Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Our Lady of Carmen) at present-day downtown Santa Paula when he arrived from Mission San Gabriel Arcángel with about 40 men and boys. In 1821 Mexican landowners petitioned President Agustín Manuel López y Gómez to create Rancho La Puente Adobe & Mission land grant within Ventura County for their cattle ranchers and other settlers as part of a larger land grant system known as "Donación Aguila" which also included parts of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. When San Francisco was founded in 1776, it was on a small peninsula between the Pacific and Sacramento Rivers. The peninsula had been part of the Earp ranch and when John C. Fremont took over the Rancho Rinconada in 1836, he sold it to José Joaquín de la Peña y Costilla. In 1839, Costilla sold it to Manuel Nieto who named it Santa Paula because his patron saint, St. Paula reputedly visited this area. The name stuck and by 1893, Santa Paula had a population of around 350 people. In 1906, when California became a state, Santa Paula became part of San Bernardino County. Starting in 1907-1908, its post office was renamed Claremont before being renamed again in 1916 as Santa Paula after Mrs. Amedeo Clemente Ventura (1863-1945), an Italian immigrant who donated land for a community center and school district. At that time its population was about 1,500 people and by 1930 it had reached 3,000 people. In 1936 Ventura gave her remaining land for a new community called Villa del Rey which started growing up around the new school and center in 1938 with about 2,000 residents living there by 1940; this community later became known as Northridge after nearby Northridge Park (now Los Angeles). By 1970 its population had grown to 10,000 people with 3 schools By 1990s the demographics of many counties throughout California were changing due to immigration from Mexico ( Latinos) while other demographics such as retirement increased due to technological advancements like home computers As technology advanced so did social media applications used by many parents such as Facebook groups or MySpace pages where children could share pictures or reports related to school projects or extracurricular activities
