Crowell at the Santa Fe Springs Post Office. The shotgun was used by Mr. Winters for target shooting and hunting purposes. Another early firearm owner in Santa Fe Springs was Elias Suggs Jr., who bought a rifle from A.P. Hill in 1876. Mr. Suggs operated a sporting goods store in town until his death in 1903. In 1908, Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputy Harry Wolk bought a revolver from Jethro Flickinger at the post office – this revolver would later become known as the “Wolk Shotgun” after its owner (Harry Wolk). In 1916, six-year old Donny Hackett acquired his first firearm when he purchase an air pistol from Oswald Weingarten at the grocery store on Main Street near First Avenue Northwestern School District boundaries (now known as Donny hacksgun range and gun shop).Hackett would continue to own and operate his own firearms business until he passed away in 1978; during that time period, Hackett operation lasted over 50 years! The most recent documented ownership of a firearm within Santa Fe Springs comes from Vernon Lamar Harvey who purchased an antique 9mm handgun on December 4th, 1988 from Edward Ransom III at auction held at The New Mexico Arms Showroom located on 6th Street Northeast corner of Interstate 10 near Milpas Road Eastin Buhlman!). This handgun would go on to serve as part of Harvey’s personal collection until his death in 2002; it has currently been stored inside Harveys home since 1988!

Santa Fe Springs is a small city located in Inyo County, California, United States. It was founded in 1887 by John C. Fremont and his nephew, Hiram S. Fuller. The area now includes the City of Santa Fe Springs and the towns of Atascadero, Cathedral City, and beyond. The city's population was 514 as of the 2010 census. The name "Santa Fe" comes from Spanish for "holy place." The springs that gave name to Santa Fe Springs were discovered in 1776 by José Vasquez de Cuellar while exploring the San Joaquin Valley. A Spanish military expedition found water that could be used to irrigate land on the east side of the mountains near present-day Cathedral City and named it La Bolsa (The Well). When American settlers arrived in 1857 they discovered springs there too so they called it Spring Valley or Indian Wells Valley because of their proximity to Mexican soil at this time (the valley ran along present-day US Highway 95 between Cathedral City and AtascadERO). Fremont moved his family to what is now Santa Fe Springs in 1887 after winning an auction for Rancho San Fernando which included 840 acres (30 km²) of Californian ranchland including part of today's downtown SantaFe Springs. In 1888 he opened a general store at 8th Street and Market Street which became one of first commercial businesses in what is today known as downtown SantaFe Springs. He also built a gristmill on Mill Creek where he later donated land for shopping center development on what is now Fourth Avenue South across from Alhambra Park District School District headquarters today at 12th Avenue South & Main Street.. In 1889 he married Eliza Morse Whitehead who had also been born in California but raised in New York State before moving with her parents to Chico County when she was four years old. They would live until her death in 1942 at age 82 years old followed by Fremont who died two months later at age 85 years old from complications from pneumonia contracted during celebrations associated with his 80th birthday party at his store.. John Cramer started working for John Cramer & Son hardware store on Katella Avenue about 1920 Alameda Properties started developing residential properties south/west of 3rd Ave & Mission Streets soon afterwards In 1951 CA Assemblyman Donald Wuerker sponsored legislation creating Inyo County Transportation Authority effective January 1, 1952 making much needed improvements within town center areas throughout county
Santa Fe Springs was founded by Don Miguel de la Vega in 1847. The springs were named for Santa Fe, Mexico, where de la Vega had been born and raised. In 1868, the city of Santa Fe Springs annexed the village of Spring Valley to its boundaries. The two villages continued to be separate until 1975 when they amalgamated into one City of Santa Fe Springs.
